Scratch is an interactive site and the server has to be constantly connected to your computer. If you try to connect on two different computers, how would the server know which one is really connected?

Why can you not be signed in on multiple browsers/devices?
Well you can do it, but signing in on a second browser will soon clear the sign in from the first browserI just signed in on two different browsers. is there some security reason or something, you can be signed in on multiple browsers/devices on pretty much any other site

Why can you not be signed in on multiple browsers/devices?
I'm always logged in on my computer and my Kindle. I'm usually never logged out. Do you clear your cookies often? That logs you out…

Why can you not be signed in on multiple browsers/devices?
I'm pretty sure it doesn't log you out if you're using the same Wi-Fi??
I'm not sure, but I know for a fact it's there for security purposes. Imagine you sign into Scratch on a school computer, and forget to sign out. Later, you access Scratch on your computer, and it signs it out on the other computer, so that nobody can have access to it. If it didn't sign out, somebody could access your account, and mess with your projects and even try to get you banned.

Why can you not be signed in on multiple browsers/devices?
They could just use a “Remember me” or “Stay signed in” checkbox that you don't check if it's a public computer I'm pretty sure it doesn't log you out if you're using the same Wi-Fi??

Why can you not be signed in on multiple browsers/devices?
There is no point to opening Scratch on 2 devices, is there? Mainly because of autosave.
Let's say you open your project on Device 1 and Device 2.
Now you make changes on Device 1. Autosave saves the changes.
Now you go over to Device 2 thinking you will try a different change. Oops! Too late. Scratch saved the changes from Device 1. Device 2 is showing the same project as Device 1 is showing.
So what's the point of opening Scratch on two devices at once?

Why can you not be signed in on multiple browsers/devices?
Same as being signed into Google on 2 devices. You wouldn't run the editor simultaneously on multiple devices, you'd just not have to enter your password again because Scratch wouldn't automatically clear one device when you sign in on another. You're comparing apples to oranges. The Google approach was designed to be used on multiple devices so they went in that direction. If you have two Google accounts, you do have to enter your password again to switch between them.
On Scratch, the account is not designed for multiple devices. It's tied to one device that has logged in correctly. Switching devices with Scratch is like switching accounts with Google.
