Asked to upload image to a service like imageshack; using imgur
I use imgur.com for all my image uploading purposes - it's simple, fast and very widely used as well. However, the forum's filter doesn't allow it. Could this be fixed?

What about DropBox? That is what I always use, but it won't recognize it either. The problem is that the people in charge over at imgur don't do a very good job of policing for inappropriate images.
Use imageshack or photobucket instead.

They only allow tinypic.com, imageshack.us, photobucket.com, wikipedia.org, wikimedia.org, scratchr.org, any .edu domain, and modshare.org.What about DropBox? I am sure that the reasons behind not allowing images on those other sites is good; however, I have 50 gigabytes of free DropBox space, and so that is my preferred method for posting images. They only allow tinypic.com, imageshack.us, photobucket.com, wikipedia.org, wikimedia.org, scratchr.org, any .edu domain, and modshare.org.What about DropBox? i think you misunderstand the difference between “not in policies” and “not a good job” The problem is that the people in charge over at imgur don't do a very good job of policing for inappropriate images.

He means ‘police - ing’. It's just spelt ‘policing’ in English. As in, they don't do a good job in moderating what images are uploaded.
I do, in fact, have my own site; it's here.
I'm also working on a thing called Fetch. Look at it here!

I honestly don't know why tinypic is allowed, because I'm pretty sure there's some non-filtered inappropriate stuff on there. I can't use imgur anymore?

Yes. Imgur is no more inappropriate than tinypic or imageshack. That's always been the case. And now the latter are full of malware or require signups. Bad decision making on the forum's design, in my opinion.
