The only time I've ever cried over a video game is in the original Yokai Watch where The Yokai defeated McKraken and the seal to keep him in the Underworld kept the normal Yokai in the Underworld too so Katie had to leave them all behind; they came back in the Epilogue for obvious reasons but it was still so tearjerker!

- Nageki's ending in Hatoful Boyfriend (okay, basically all of Hatoful Boyfriend is sad, but I cried over Nageki and then some more in the BBL ending). My mom asked why there were so many tissues in my trash can…
- Undertale True Neutral and True Pacifist endings Last time it started when Asgore said “Just think of it as a trip to the dentist.”
- At a certain spot in the book “A Day No Pigs Would Die”: When the pig dies. :(
- Last two episodes of Voltron: Legendary Defenders Season 2
- Hal's death in “2010: The Year We Make Contact” (awful movie don't watch but the Hal moments were amazing), didn't cry too hard surprisingly enough
- I teared up once during the Portal 2 credits when GLaDOS was singing
Didn't cry but still sad:
- End of Predacons Rising. Prime literally joins with the Allspark. ;-; I hate that movie just because it felt like such a sloppy and cop-out way to end Prime (the events after Prime deserved a series of its own to be honest)
- Robbie the robot's death in the book “I, Robot”. Not a spoiler really, don't worry.
- Sonny almost dying in the movie “I, Robot” (very different from the book, by the way; I highly recommend the book and the movie was tolerable; I honestly would've liked it so much better if it weren't called “I, Robot” because then I got my hopes up)

MINOR SPOILER WARNING FOR MOST OF THE FILMS ON THE LIST, ALSO MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE LION KING IF YOU SOMEHOW HAVEN'T SEEN THAT OR HAVEN'T ALREADY BEEN SPOILED
alright time to go through my imdb account and find the saddest scenes:
at least half of Magnolia, particularly the Wise Up scene and the one that comes right before it
The scene in The Royal Tenenbaums where Elliott Smith starts playing, if you've seen it you know the one
The entirety of the third season of Moral Orel, especially the episode Numb
That one death in Gurren Lagann that I won't talk about because I'm too pleb to figure out how to spoiler
The ending of Home Movies
THAT scene in The Spongebob Movie (this one is probably in the top 5)
The entirety of Synecdoche, New York though a lot of it is less sad and more just nihilistic and depressing
The ending of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf
That one scene in The Shawshank Redemption with the old man
The opening of Finding Nemo
That scene in Boogie Nights where Buck tries to open a music store but can't because of his past
The climax of The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou
The dog scene in The Hunt
A scene in Shame that I can't talk about without getting banned from Scratch
The entirety of Grave of The Fireflies
The ending of Millenium Actress
The second to last scene in Amarcord
Many scenes in Tokyo Godfathers, though it's more of a joyful variety
The ending of Mary and Max, first time I cried at a film
The end of Tokyo Story
Mufasa's death in The Lion King (definitely in the Top 5)
The ending of American History X
The ending of The Green Mile (top 5)
The ending of Terminator 2
The opening of Up (crowning king, objectively the saddest moment in film)
The ending of The Iron Giant (runner-up)
The ending of The Elephant Man
that's everything
here's the top 5 if anyone wants it
1. Opening of Up
2. Ending of The Iron Giant
3. Spongebob climax
4. Green Mile ending
5. Mufasa's death
Interesting how there's a lot of children's films here. I think it just hits harder when you get a sad scene in a children's film than a film for adults

Grave of the Fireflies is probably the saddest movie I've watched. Needless to say, I haven't watched many sad movies.

The ending of every Pokemon mystery dungeon game. Even when in Gates to infinity I got stuck on the last dungeon for over a year and still cried. It's just so sad when you leave your partner.
Also that soul crushing moment in PMD red where Your partner stops following you. I just want to walk around town with Charmy again. Is that to much to ask for?
There were also the Raytoa, Negiki and final endings of Hatoful boyfriend that just made me burst into tears. It really didn't help that I did the two saddest endings as the first two endings I got.

My apologies, I didn't understand how to use the spoiler thing. I didn't go into specifics (except for The Lion King, but that was because I thought that everyone already knew about that scene) but I suppose even just saying that something sad happens at the end could spoil the ending a bit (especially if it's the type of ending where you expect a happy one). I've edited the post to have a spoiler warning at the top. flyingpiearchive, you entire post contained loads of uncovered spoilers, no warning.

I understand. Saying that the ending or a scene in something was sad isn't very spoilery but I caught a couple mentions of deaths in there so I wanted to be on the safe side and prevent spoilers for some people. My apologies, I didn't understand how to use the spoiler thing.
