So is this like a place here Scratchers can sell their games for real money? If so support.
I think it's a place where you can get stuff for your projects?
Like money so to $peak?
(. not ?)
I don't think it's money.
Are you sure?
I don't think it's money.
It's not.

So it would be a huge resource for scratch projects? Like the sprite library? This would be a cool idea as I am in constant need of sprites and such for my projects and sometimes I don't have time to ask for them to be made or don't want to get them from the internet, this would have a friendly place for all ages to have access to tons of sprites, sounds, scripts… However I don't think it should be called a shop.
^^ Support.

It isn't money, just for scratchers to give away stuff. It isn't similar to the requests forum because they removed the backpacking feature in the forums. Whereas in the scratch shop, you can give code, art, etc.

This is a somewhat interesting topic, scratch users could provide custom block libraries which you can add to your projects.

I made a quick mock-up to show what I am suggesting

I support for a global ‘Resource Library’ that has options to sort by the following:

-Scripts
Cloud data
Pen
Custom Blocks
-Sprites
Engines
Animated
Other
-Sounds
Music
Effects
-Costumes
(same sorting as current library)
-Backdrops
(same as above)

Is it kinda like a “Scratcher's Public Domain” I assume?

No. This idea does not appear to relate to licensing at all. In fact, ZozaTech mentions that credit would automatically be given, and I assume that CC-BY-SA 2.0 would apply works shared on the library.

A way to prevent people using without credit
There will be an automatic post in the Notes and Credits section, saying
This project has used Username's art, e.t.c
Semi Support. This is a pretty good idea. But while forcing credit seems like a good idea on the surface, certain problems occur:
  • 1. The Notes and Credits has a character limit. So you couldn't put notes in if it was spammed with
    The Notes And Credits says:
    This project used @RandomScratcher9999999999999999's artwork
    This project used @RandomScratcher9999999999999999's artwork
    This project used @RandomScratcher9999999999999999's artwork
    This project used @RandomScratcher9999999999999999's artwork
    This project used @RandomScratcher9999999999999999's scripts
    This project used @RandomScratcher9999999999999999's scripts
    This project used @RandomScratcher9999999999999999's music
    This project used @Greenduck54's scripts
    This project used…
    -snep-
    …This project used @RandomGuy594572's spr
    2. It doesn't condense the credit, so even though it should do this:
This project uses @RandomPerson54's artwork, scripts, backdrops, and music
    It would say THIS:
    This project uses @RandomPerson54's artwork
    This project uses @RandomPerson54's scripts
    This project uses @RandomPerson54's backdrops
    This project uses @RandomPerson54's music
    3. Some people like to have credits IN the project. Having credit forced will ruin the ability for that to be possible if they use anything from the library

A better solution would be to have a button next to Notes and Credits that when clicked will show the credits for stuff used from the library if anything was used.

And no i don't consider this necroposting because this topic has yet to be fully discussed
