Video game - Flying Colors collab /-HIRING-\
Welcome all, to my first ever collaboration!!
I know this is very naive, to make a collab within a week of joining scratch, but hear me out. I've been planning this for months. Only a few days ago, did i have the bright idea to make this on scratch, realizing how hard it would be to get a game publisher to back me, especially at my age.
A few years back the thing that made me come up with this idea was a very random thing. I took a hairband and stretched it around the peephole at our front door. It looked like a bird, with its eye as it's head (the peephole) and the hairband as it's beak.
PLOT
Flying Colors is a game about a bird named Francine and her brother (i don't have names for him yet as it was originally my brother's real name.) As they adventure through The city of Imagination and Color (or Imagine City) They find on the outskirts that a force is coming. Shades are infecting Imagine City and depriving it of it's wonderful color. Francine and (unnamed) help to stop the enemies (Called the Shaders) from completely ridding color city of it's color. It's art style is going to be very scribbly (not because i'm bad at art) because (I'll message you the ending if you want because i don't want anyone who looks forward to playing this being spoiled.) It is designed to be a simple game but the farther you go, the more fast-paced it gets. You will be able to choose a character before the level starts, and, if we ever port this as a Steam game or maybe a console game, have a second player with you.
CONCEPT ART & CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Francine - (concept art posted soon) can shoot Colors (recolor color city) out of her beak quite far, but she can't get too close to the enemies.
Brother - (concept art coming soon) can't shoot Colors far, but he can get near the enemies but not the shades.

Trubbies - Can shoot shades at the played character but only slowly. They are designed to be like the goomba of this game, having a hit cap of 1. Shooting straight at them will give insta-kill without waiting a few seconds. (also the concept of the game is to be younger-child friendly, so once an enemy has reached it's hit cap it just turns into shades, posing the idea that all enemies are simply shades taking a larger form.) Trubbies are designed like trash-cans, having empty paper towel rolls as eyes and a (clean ofc) TP tongue.
Funnels - Can shoot shades far, but not directly at the player. Hit cap of 3. Designed like a pole, with a funnel on top.
