Flappy bird Scratch project. Embedded in a gaming site.
(As cheeseeater)
Recently I've came across a online flappy bird game made in Scratch, here. However, I am wondering if this project was made by the site owner, or if it was embedded from Scratch without credit. I am also wondering if the CC license stretches onto this games site, as it is mostly a complete copy of the original game. If not I think there might be a bit of legal trouble. I also suggest that when a project is embedded it shows the creator, it was made in Scratch, at the bottom of the player. Otherwise it is easy for game sites to embed games from Scratch, without giving credit to us. I think this needs to be looked into, many people spend to much time fussing about the local site credit, instead of the WWW which can get away with it.
Opinions/Comments?
Thanks, cheeseeater

Support about the embedded idea.
This is a big issue… I'll post more thoughts later.

I think I'll post on the suggestions forums too. Support about the embedded idea.

I just asked @kinliam3, the creator of the original game, if he had done it and he said yes.
Here's the link to the comment
Still, I think there should be something in the player that automatically gives credit if it has been embedded.

According to the license for scratch projects, it states:
So for the ShareAlike part, they are in the right, but not really the Attribution part.
Edit: nevermind lol
Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
ShareAlike — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.

Ok, that's good to know. Though I think it's still an issue. I just asked @kinliam3, the creator of the original game, if he had done it and he said yes.Yes Has reached over 5 million views now.
