Iota: An RPG

Goal
The goal for Iota is a basic turnbased RPG, with a simple story involving a character (At the moment, Scratch Cat is the character) on a quest to save the world or something like that, A top-down view world to explore, and a “battle” mechanic similar to Pokemon. There might be some other things we add along the way, but this is the gist of it.

Assignment 1

Battle Programmers:
Code an enemy player mechanic into the base project.
Includes:
A sprite with a “idle” and “damage taken” frame of animation
Respective health bar/variable
2 fully coded moves for the enemy
Do this by remixing the v1.0 project (recommended) or by your own means. Post a link to the remix.

World Programmers
Make a scrolling engine.
Includes:
Left, right, up and down scrolling
Basic collision detection
Do this by making another project with the engine. Post a link to the project.

Story-Writer
Write a basic story.
Includes:
Description of main character (gender will be debated)
Backstory of character
Beginning of plot

Musicians
Make a basic melody. It can either be:
the Main Theme
the Battle Theme (upbeat)

Jobs

Programming:
Here, your job is to program things into working fashion.

World
World programmers code the over-world that the characters exsist in.

Battle programmers code the battle section where the character fights other things.

World
World artists create sprites and make the world.

Oh yeah, and just in case you didn't know, “iota” is a letter in the Greek alphabet. This same alphabet also has “alpha”, “beta”, and “omega” in it, along with many other terms.

Nice! I do think you should try adding some more stuff to your game; it has a lot of potential, so keep making it!
Also, I think the “joke” in your signature is better. Just sayin'.
