How do you make your game popular?

I have a cool game, but I don't know how to get it popular. I'm not asking for like featured game popular, i'm asking for like 50 views and 1 comment

How do you make your game popular?

Since you joined 4 hours ago, it won't just get popular. It take months after months, even years of building up followers, becoming very active in the forums, and creating good-looking projects to actually become “popular”. Most new users only get 10 views at most on their projects, and that's just reality. Start at the bottom and make way to the top. Patience and time are the secrets to popularity, and by time I mean months and years, or by getting featured luckily. Once you get popular, your projects have good chance if getting front-paged.

I'm not trying to be mean but you should probably get better at Scratch before you try and become popular. The game doesn't work - all the coding is done wrong - and the graphics are horrible.
No need to be rude. There's not one coding style to rule them all And you don't start perfect, you know. You learn gradually.

@OP:

Try getting more known in the community–commenting, forums, making more projects. You can advertise in Show and Tell in the forums.

It's great that you are providing feedback - feedback on a project is an important way for Scratchers to improve their skills. But feedback has to very specific to be helpful - and you should try not to be too discouraging. So rather than “The game doesn't work” - try explaining what parts didn't work the way you expected them to. And instead of “the coding is done wrong” - try showing a better way that the coding could be done. The same goes for the graphics remark - how would you like to see them improved? Do you know somebody who could help with the graphics?

To quote from the Community Guidelines:
Be constructive. When commenting on other’s projects, say something you like about it and offer suggestions.

Remember - think about the kind of remark that you would like to see about your project

Since that person just joined not long ago, of course his projects would not be that good as the popular scratchers. But keep in mind, though, the author of the project may have joined Scratch and that the project may have been his first ones that he is practicing on. Everyone that joins Scratch starts off as a beginner. But as the time goes on, they learn. The popular scratchers on the front page started as beginners too. They also made projects that were not so good. But overtime, they improved and made better projects.

If something could be better, say what you like about the project. Tell the author the good parts of the project. Then, address the parts that could improve respectfully and give feedback on how the project can improve.

Remember, when giving feedback on a project, please follow the Community Guidelines - this helps make Scratch a friendly place.

If Bob needs to leave, you should use the
sayfor2secs
block, rather than using the ask-answer block. If you don't need the bottom of the if/else block, then just use the
ifthen
block. Maybe you could revise it using these tips.
But otherwise, good start for a first project.
Now that's what we mean by constructive criticism!

Others mentioned this, but, yes, I still think you have some improving to do. To improve though, I recommend looking at projects of great scratchers such as @FlowOS and @GreenConsole.

You will notice the following about their projects:

1. Good Graphics: As unnecessary as they may seem, good graphics are often the key to a popular project. I have seen projects with 400 scripts that recieve little popularity because they lack aesthetics. The look of your game is important.

2. Complex scripts. Most good projects will have around at least 30 scripts, although there are many amazing projects which use efficient coding to have extremely good products.

So check out some really good projects! Here are a few:

http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/17082938/ Lol had to include mine
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/16201998/
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/16456009/

Also, I recommend getting you're own original logo. Logos like @Emberous and @GreenConsole are appealing and actually helpful!
Finally, make friends with great scratchers. No. You aren't “using” them. You are making new friends- that's what part of scratch is about.
You'll definitely learn new things the way I did when I met people like @FlowOS
