Just to clear up, there are two separate things that people call emojis here.

The ones that are built in to Scratch, like and , are not technically emojis, but images that Scratch substitutes for a code that you type in. Scratch has to specifically add support for each one.

The other type of emojis are Unicode ones. These are characters just as much as A or 1 are, and theoretically you should be able to type them anywhere. In fact, Scratch currently supports emojis up to U+FFFF. The other ones can't be typed directly, but the evidence points towards this being a bug rather than an intentional feature - so this might as well be a suggestion to fix that bug. There's no question of adding specific ones, they just have to fix that bug and all emojis would work.

The forums have the same bug, but instead of deleting the emoji it deletes everything after it in the post and messes up the page. I don't recommend trying it, but this is what happens - in particular, notice what happens when you quote someone on that topic.

About the gun and middle finger, they can just be added to the filter blacklist.

they arn't necessary, but they're FUN. scratch dosnt need to be a professional site thats all serious and only has nessessitys, its SCRATCH it has good easter eggs and a nice style too it :p
