How do I RP?

• Type what your character says (dialogue) in quotes (“”)
• Type everything else RPed, including actions, as regular text
• Any non-RP text in an RP thread should be separated by parentheses

Can I be an Animagus or Metamorphagus?

Right now the moderators are working on a system for both animagi and metamorphagi, so we aren't accepting any at the moment! Keep tuned for updates

How many characters can I have?

There are two types of members in this RP, experienced and new Role Players. New Role Players start with one student and after they prove they are active and can develop another character (student or teacher). Experienced Role Players can have up to three characters

When can I get my second character?

If a member has been actively roleplaying for 60 days, then they are welcome to apply for a second character (student or teacher).

How do I become an Experienced Role Player?

- Be active in both the forum and the studio for over 6 months.
- Have developed your character(s) well.
- Be trusted by the moderators.
- Have kept original character(s) for over four months.

What can an Experienced Role Player do?

Experienced Role Players get more of a say in new forms, activities, etc. They can help new people with their applications, and are trusted to answer questions correctly. They can also have up to three characters

Why can't my character be related to canon characters?

We like every character to start on equal footing with everybody else's characters. If your character is related to Harry Potter, for example, your character will already have a leg up in RPs (which isn't fair). Feel free to use a bit of canon history in your backstory if you want, we don't prohibit things like having “parents who fought in the battle of Hogwarts” as long as they aren't specific characters from the books.

What are and how do I become a Head Girl, Head Boy, Prefect, or Quidditch Captain?

The Head Girl and Boy are 7th year characters who are responsible, in good academic standing, and are in good favor with the headmaster with active RPers. There is one Head Girl and one Head Boy every year.

Prefects are 5th+ year characters who know the rules well and are responsible enough to semi-enforce those rules and help along younger years. There is one male and one female prefect per house every year.

Quidditch Captains are 6th or 7th years who have been on the team for at least a year (exceptions made for empty or barely filled teams). There is one captain per house team every year (Captains may stay for multiple years)

If you want to become any of these and there is an open spot, just ask a Moderator if your character can fill it

Ask a Moderator (@rainbow_waves, @MegaByteCorporations, or @aleynesansonnet) or any experienced role player, they'll tell you anything you need to know about the RP!
