Just to clear this up… Are we or are we not? this is suddenly very confusing, all this beta level business is becoming incredibly confusing. This time, just to clear it up, is it yes or no. Buuuuuuuut, if we don't I don't really care.Well, what do you take "A collective ‘meh’ to mean? Yes or no? So… er… we're making the beta level? I think I've received a collective ‘meh’neither

We might do a Beta Level, but we won't need the portal room because we can just change the starting level by altering the starting X variable.

I had no idea of this portal room business, but it sounds much… awesomer.
Or we could make a sprite that you can manually show. It would have buttons that can be clicked to teleport you to where you want (which we would remove from the final game, of course).

Idea: Make the beta level. Because it's a separate project, it will be really easy to delete. If we like it, it stays. If not, we just wasted a collective half and hour. Then we delete it. Done.

Seems fine. This afternoon I'll try to come on and help.
This will make adding new features a lot quicker than waiting until we get to said level of the game to program it.

That. Looks. Awesome.
However, may I suggest that you remove the highlights between tiles so that it looks less gridded?
It's up to you, you're the artist, but I personally would prefer it without the highlights.

James, I have an idea for you to do. Not me. You.
Here it is: Make the character (blob, or whatever you changed to) turn to be on the ground perfectly. So on ground with a 45 degree angle, your character will be turned 45 degrees (either direction - depends on the direction of the ground slant). Do you know what I mean? No? Too bad.
What do you think?
