I think you may be confused. This show isn't cannon and doesn't completely follow the original show. It's kind of like fanfiction so some things have been added like Bill being a human. I hope I helped.

OK, going to get into some crazy stuff here, so bear with me.
Reason Crystal needs 3 hours of non-inturrupted sleep or 5 one hour-long naps and complete darkness and silence(clunky title, I know. There's going to be a bunch of weird stuff and things tat will make you think I'm crazy in here. Just a warning.)
So, the sleep thing. It's because of how dormant she was in Cipher. Bill did basically everything while Crystal stayed in a space of his mind made of shadows until it was time to play(meaning that when Cipher was mad, she was the one you had to deal with). During any other time, Crystal sorted through everything Cipher had seen, said, and heard. Who he made deals with and what he destroyed. Other things Crstal did were plan out many of the schemes and ploys Cipher had done, Mabel's bubble and Dipper's puppet deal being a few.The moment that Stan made the deal with Cipher was during Crystal's cool-down(AKA her “I'm not processing anything because I'm insane” time that lasts for 3 hours[when Bill cleans up her messes]) so all systems were out of whack. Bill was too distracted and with Crystal too out of it to help, of course Cipher didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. The rest is history. Stan shakes Cipher's hand, Cipher goes into Stan's mind, and Stan punches Cipher(the flash of light when Cipher disappears is when he splits) and the world is saved. (Looks like Dipper should be happy to be around Bill. He's the more stable one!)

Wow, that's a lot of explaining for something so small. A lot of talking off topic too. Next section!

Scorpio- Male, 1372 years old, grumpy, sneaky, not as loyal as Evil would like. Half human half scorpion.
(Surprisingly enough) Crystal- Female, unknown, mean, selfish, more loyal than Scorpio, less loyal than Art. Half human half dream demon(I guess)
Art(Arthur)- Male, 777, creative, insane, sweet-talker, very loyal to Evil (and Crystal. Crush alert!) Dream demon
C.J.- Female, 2617, bossy, annoying, would die for Evil(major crush) Dragon/Dream demon
Alejandro- Male, 927, pushover, terrible to ocean hurters, fights to the bitter end for Evil(crush on Evil) Merman, but can have legs when not in water(deal with Evil)
