Can't use right-click menu properly

It used to happen to me when I used Windows 8 or prevous versions of Windows. But some of you have Windows 10 here. I suggest upgrading your PC to the Anniversary Update. That might fix it. But coke has a Chromebook that has this problem. I don't know whats wrong then. Possible its a Scratch problem.

Can't use right-click menu properly

Same problem but only on my laptop
My browser / operating system: Windows 8.1, Chrome 56.0.2924.87, Flash 24.0 (release 0) works fine but you can't move the add comment to a block. And the right click is quite inaccurate

I think the problems exist with people with laptops. If we connect a mouse and use it instead of the touchpad, I think it will fix the problem.

Your right click is inaccurate because your browser zoom level is not set to 100%. If it is higher or lower than 100%, the right click will be inaccurate.

I am having a similar issue. Right clicking on a script or a sprite doesn't work - it's thinks I'm right clicking on the background. However, if I right click around 40 pixels up and left of the sprite, or script - it does work!

Right clicking on other (non-Scratch) web pages is fine. I'm sure this is a Scratch bug.

Windows 10, Chrome Version 57.0.2987.133 (64-bit), HP Pavilion i7 laptop

I have just tried this on Microsoft Edge and it's similar - I have to right click around 80-100 pixels up and left to get it to work.

Also, I have tried the touchpad and a USB mouse and I get the same effect.

Shift click works fine but I completely agree, this needs a fix rather than a workaround. I'm hoping a Scratch team member will be able to reproduce this. It's 100% reproducible for me. If there is anything I can to capture on the Chrome Developer console, let me know.

UPDATE: As in earlier posts, this was caused by the zoom level. It's fine at 100% in both browsers. It's still a bug though, left click is fine - Come on Scratch team!

Thank you so much! This has been a big problem for my students and I. Making the zoom level 100% this fixed the problem.

This problem only started a few days ago, so it could be due to a Flash update. But I haven't seen anyone else complaining, so it could be just me!

When I right-click (to do things like Duplicate, Delete, etc) the correct menu appears, but when I release my mouse button the Flash settings menu appears on top of it. (The obvious workaround is to always move the mouse pointer between mouse-down and mouse-up, but hopefully the cause of the glitch can be identified and fixed, whether it's Scratch or Flash.)

I'm using Chrome. I've checked in Internet Explorer and there's no problem there. Ditto Scratch desktop edition.

It's Happening To Me Too, But Differently…
When I Right Click, It Registers The Click Up And To The Left Of The REAL Mouse Position…

I'm aware this is an older post. This is a problem for me too, although can be fixed if you right click in an area to the top left of the thing you actually want to delete. This is a giant pain, as I have to randomly click to open the menu to delete a variable.

Make sure that your browser isn't zoomed in or zoomed out. Make sure it's at 100% ( That's what works for Chrome in my experience).

Whenever I try to tap and hold the slider it won’t show that box that appears when your right click a variable on screen. It works when a right click a variable that isn’t a slider. It might be something with the fact I’m on mobile. I’m sorry of I didn’t explain clearly.
