Unofficial - Scratch 2.0 Compiled For Mobile - Download Now! (iOS and Android)
Hey - I think I might have found a way to make it run on non-jailbroken iOS devices. The only problem is that the name of the app is something like ‘CY - Scratch 2.0’ and this method won't work if there are spaces in the name. Could you please make me a version just called ‘Scratch’ so that I can test this out.
Thanks.
Thanks.

TO THOSE JAILBROKEN ON iOS 10 LOOKING TO DOWNLOAD THIS: Do NOT install AppSync as they state in the tutorial. On iOS 10 your device will get stuck in a bootloop. Look for my large post on how to install it using a different method.

Is it using Cydia Impactor? If so, get the latest update of Impactor. It should work. Hey - I think I might have found a way to make it run on non-jailbroken iOS devices. The only problem is that the name of the app is something like ‘CY - Scratch 2.0’ and this method won't work if there are spaces in the name. Can you make projects there, and then share them to the website? For those of you asking for Scratch to be made for iOS and Android, look no further! I've got it for both Android and iOS. Simply download the free APK or iPA and install it on your device (installation instructions below). Now you can finally enjoy Scratch wherever you areDownload
Android: Adfly | Direct
iOS: Adfly | Direct
I'm also working on a version that allows you to pinch to zoom and pan. It's quite buggy, but if you'd like to see what it's like so far, you can download it from the link belowhttps://github.com/elfin8er/Scratch-Mobile/releases/tag/v1.0.0_zInstallation InstructionsiOS (Must be jailbroken)
1. Download Scratch.iPA from the link above.
2. Install AppSync on your device via Cydia
3. Be sure you have iTunes downloaded on your computer.
4. Double click on the iPA file and install it onto your iOS device.Android
1. Download Scratch.apk from the link above.
2. Transfer the APK to your device.
3. Allow your device to install apps from unknown locations (different for some devices)
4. Install the APK using your favorite file manager.
(coming to the app store soon (hopefully))ScreenshotsNotes
If anybody would like to make icons for these apps, feel free! I need some icons of different sizes. 16x16, 32x32, 48x48, 128x128. High-res please
The app may not look very good on higher-res Android devices. This may be able to be solved easily, or it may require parts of Scratch to be rewritten, I'm not sure.
Both apps are a little bit buggy, but it'll hopefully let you at least get some concepts started. For an example, I don't believe saving and loading projects work on either device. Still experimenting on other Android and iOS devices though…
For those of you who have a jailbroken iOS device, I'll hopefully upload the iPA to Cydia so you can more easily install the app directly on your device. As for Android, if I can get permission from the Scratch team, I'll upload it to the app store (I already have a developer license). Though, it is open source so permission may not be needed…
Until I can find someone with a developer license, the ipa will remained un-signed and only install-able on a jailbroken device with AppSync installed.

To everyone who is having problems with the app crashing, read this:
Right now, saving and opening Scratch files doesn't work in the most recent version, as of writing this. This is due to a permissions error. The app is a direct port of the PC version to Android, and as a result, some things that were designed to run on a PC might not work on Android. Saving and opening files is one of those- the app is trying to save a file as though it's running on a PC. It's treating the Android device as a PC, which as you can guess, can cause some problems.

Then when will a version come out without any crashes? I don't know. Ask elfin8er, he developed the app. I don't even know if he is still working on it.Then when will a version come out without any crashes? Here's a little something I wrote to titanscratch on my profile. I think it answers a lot of people's questions nicely.
Scratch 2.0 is programed in Actionscript 3. Since the Scratch mobile app I made is just compiled from the Scratch 2.0 source code, you have to modify the Actionscript code in order to modify the Scratch mobile app. Since I don't really know Actionscript, or a whole lot about the Scratch 2.0 source code, I've had a very hard time fixing bugs in the Scratch mobile version that I made. I also don't have the workspace I had before, so I'd have to start over trying to get it to compile on mobile.
With all of that being said, I might release a version that allows you to possibly save/load, but it might not be for a long time. I probably won't update this unless I get someone to help me that knows Actionscript 3 really well. This was just a fun experiment to see if it could be done. I was never intended to be anything useful, and it probably won't ever be anything useful.
