What would we think is normal in 2117?

My computer only has a 2PB hard drive. Ugh! My internet is so slow! Only 5Gbps!

transistors are atomically thin, thousands of logical cores on a single chip, elastic multi-threading

apparently there is a 5 story tall processor which can do pentahertz speed

computers 100 years from now will be capable of that but in a laptop form

(I don't know if this belongs in AT)
It's a bit of a stretch, I think. We can try it over in “Things I'm Reading and Playing”, if you folks want to quote a few sources

This is something I've thought about a lot recently, mostly because I am writing story that takes place in the future (2076 and the few years after that), and I like to imagine the technology that would exist then. I know it's not 100 years from now, but it's still many decades.

This and this and this will make people cry and especially this and this and oh my gosh this.

THE FUTURE IS A BRIGHT ONE TO ME (I mean minus Hal killing everyone on the Dicovery that won't happen I just threw that in there to make a point about AI or for my own amusement but to be fair he redeemed himself later as seen in the scene linked to after the first Hal scene also I wrote a paper on why he isn't a cold-blooded murderer if anyone's interested *hyperventilates*).

I love robots. And I forgot how much I need to watch Big Hero 6 again. I love that movie.

tbh, I think we're all going to be dead before this all happens
As in the human race goes extinct

Wait, we're bringing politics in to this discussion? Looks like I didn't get the memo.

100 years? We might finally get quantum computing in desktop computers. Seems like a stretch but it could be possible…
