That's impossible. The IP it reads is so it can read your location, that's it. It doesn't matter if someone else has the same IP, because they won't, unless you're on a shared Wi-Fi Network.

As well, there has been no known case where a hacker has Literally hacked a scratchers account, as in, used a security flaw or whatever to get their password. Until we know that is commonplace, no support.. In fact, Scratch Guard could be a security flaw it is more commonplace (gosh I am using that word alot) for E-Mails to be hacked than scratch accounts. Any normal hacker would hack into your email, see the scratch guard notification, if any, and be able to easily breach your account.

If someone logged in from a PC they hadn't logged in from before, it'd stop them and ask for a verification code. Like Steam Guard, but for Scratch.

Partial support for the security aspects, however it's not 100% necessary for a site like Scratch, and I feel like it would further complicate account verification (since this site is for all ages.)

I think that this would be better if it were from an unrecognized computer After all, it already has a system where it remembers usernames you have used to log in on that computer, and this would likely do a better job.
