Yeah, fandom in general, not just the Sonic fandom, seems really unhealthily obsessed with pairing up two characters and will defend it to the end. Can I say the “D” word?

I can't be the only one who didn't know who “Blaze” was before going on the Scratch Forums, right?

Because the first time I heard (insert someone like Shadow or Silver here) x Blaze I was like, “Is Blaze an awful Mary Sue OC that everyone likes for no reason?”

Some random poem I made:

In the early Sonic days,
Sonic was with Sally.
Suddenly one day,
Sonic saved Amy
and she fell in love with him.
Shadow and Rouge came along.
Shadow had a crush on Rouge even
though Rouge had a crush on Knuckles.
Cream was rescued one day,
since neither Cosmo nor Zooey existed,
Cream caught Tails' eye.
Shadow gave up trying to capture
Rouge's heart and became single until
the day Silver and Blaze came to the present.
Silver and Blaze were together.
Floee, a fan character, had a crush on Silver,
however due to Silver already taken, she sadly
had to date the lonely Shadow.
Their relationship failed, so Floee challenged Blaze.
Blaze lost and Floee won Silver.
Later, Shadow and Blaze met each other and began
dating each other.
These are stories of how today and tomorrow's Sonic couples
formed.
