Hello, everyone. I made this topic to talk about the game coming out for the Nintendo Switch, or NX, called Super Mario Odyssey.

What cool new features are going to be in the game?

Well, Mario will be in a world with other people, mainly in a city. I mean, they don't look like Mario, but they are humans. I like the twist of that in this game. I think that a sort of real life city would make some really interesting stages. I think this game is sort of like Super Mario Galaxy, but with even more fun and interesting twists.

Also, did I mention Mario's hat is alive in this game?

What is the plot?

Well, it's like the normal one, but with a sort of twist. Bowser isn't just capturing Princess Toadstool so he can love her, no no, Bowser has capturing Princess Toadstool to have a full out wedding with her, and Toadstool is not pleased with this. So your goal is to stop the wedding from happening.

Well that's basically everything! If you think I should add something, recommend it to me and I'll add it!

What (I believe) the plot of the game is, is that Bowser does the usual “Kidnap Peach” routine and, per the norm, Mario rushes to save her. On board the airship, however, Bowser reveals his master plan (unclear what they are at the moment, going to have to wait for more info) that has to do with the four new rabbit enemies and something to do with hats. Bowser stomps Mario's hat and uses his own as a throwing weapon to knock Mario off the airship. Some time later, Mario meets the new sentient hat that teaches him how to attack with it. *cue adventure*




Also, Bowser the pimp.

I'm pretty sure Bowser is trying to get peach to marry him. In the trailer, there's a sign that says just that.

I think Mario Odyssey looks, from the trailers, like a really cool and fun game and I can't wait to find out more about it. Right now, there isn't much information given out, but I still think it is going to be a success.
Like, how can you not like a game with an alive hat??

I'm so hyped for this game!

That's just one area, the other ones are more cartoony and Mario-like.

Mario better be able to stop it, because last time those two got married, it nearly caused the end of all worlds.

Actually there is a reason! It's because…Pit wasn't able to stop it, so Palutena gave him a Slap Of Impatience (because he took way too long) and turned him into a BABY, but she turned the whole world older instead of him younger, causing Ness to shout, “Forget about all this crazy time travel whatnot, I'm going to be free and single forever!” And then Kirby told Link that Kaj was in the basement via prank call, and, and…you know what, this is getting VERY off topic.

ST, PLEASE don't remove the crazy story I just made up, we like to make jokes like that in the Reading Playing forums.

Ontopic, I dislike how tiny Mario is, compared to the “real-life people”.
It also reminds me of the first Sonic X epsiode, where Sonic somehow ends up in the human world.

i feel like the fabric of the universe would tear if bowser and peach got married

There should be a spin-off or hack where it's Luigi you play as and he can throw his hat too.

I finally got my hands on this game and it's absolutely fantastic!

I first got it in December 2017. Completed it that month.
