Allow TinyUrls in comments!

Just now, I was trying to make this comment in bigpuppy's profile:
I realized that mid-sentence, hence the dash. Also, see tinyurl.com/j7xadxm
and tinyurl.com/jdo83r9
to understand what I mean. I'm thinking of adding something like “Add ‘Hi; I noticed that you…’ to the beginning of each of your posts to instantly make them 50% more considerate!” (as a joke) to my forum signature, but after I added Donald Trump/Minot, North Dakota parodies to it, my signature is already longer than there is room for. By the way, it's horrible what's happening there (in Minot).
As you can see, it's somewhat long. In fact, it's exactly 500 characters, so I couldn't have made it any longer. I had to use TinyUrls to keep my response in one comment. And yet when I hit, “Post,” I received the all-too-familiar-for-Scratchers-who-attempt-to-use-TinyUrls-to-make-their-comments-shorter message:
Uh oh! This comment contains a link to a website with unmoderated chat. For safety reasons, please do not link to these sites!
even though each TinyUrl refers to a forum post on Scratch, and if I made a post with the non-TinyUrl links, I would have been able to get past that filter (but not post it because I wouldn't have been able to get past the character limit), even though the two links went to the exact same pages.

Scratch Team, I'm not asking that you let us post TinyUrls to sites that if we had included the direct URL, we wouldn't be allowed to comment, but if the TinyUrl redirects to a site that is okay to link to on Scratch, please don't block it from being posted!

I'm not sure if Scratch can tell where it links to - I could be wrong though.

How hard can it be?

Well, I just made a request to one of the tinyurls from the comment in the OP; and the responses url was from Scratch so that means there is a way to do it.

Why are you judging shortened links by the link shortener instead of the page that it links to? That's like judging a book by its cover!

Yeah, but what if the book contains something dangerous. I personally don't trust link shorteners either.

The website would check to make sure that it isn't dangerous. It would allow the TinyUrl IF AND ONLY IF the website that it linked to was okay.

How does it know a website is ‘okay’?

It would use the same method that it always uses.

You can just use a different URL shortener, like bit.ly or goo.gl. Besides, running out of space in your comment because the link is too long isn't much of a problem, anyway.

What do you mean “always uses”?

Yes, you can make as many comments as you like.

It would judge it purely on what the non-shortened link is.

Based on what criteria?

The criteria that it would use otherwise.

Because the only thing that should matter about links is the page that they lead to.

Define ‘inappropriate’, and how would it be known if there is unmoderated chat or malware?
