Guess it's really going to be in 2012 this time, huh?

A bit early to assert that, don't you think? I mean, it's only 2011, after all.

LOL Just kidding! The current block will set this straight…

AWESOME!!!!!! However, there are still all those wrinkles in the code to sort out… Are you sure you're not rushing to satisfy an impatient Scratch Community? Then again, the Scratch Team knows, so everything will be fine.

Check your trash. You may have accidentally deleted them.

No, unfortunately I did not. I can see ALL my galleries in 1.4, but only HALF of them in 2.0.
Were those galleries made in 1.4 after Jan 26?

This isn't good
Why??
I explained it above.
The ST will obviously still be working on glitches after 2.0 is released.
Here's the problem. During beta, it's okay to have glitches but for a beta, not being able to do anything is pretty bad. Now, they're saying that it will be officially released but that's not good at all because it means that I can't do anything in Scratch either. Some of these glitches I reported months ago and nothing has changed so what does that mean for when Scratch is officially released? Right now, because Scratch 1.4 is still available, I can still use it but once everything is transferred to 2.0, I can't do anything at all.
Think about Minecraft. They released 1.0 after the beta even when it had bugs. That's what the bugtracker is for; bugs will be fixed in later versions. High priority bugs are put first.

Hi, this looks fantastic!

I found that new version 2 works extremely slowly in my computer (Windows Vista, IE 9) like there is about a second lag from when I click on an arrow down to see the drop-down menu. Also, when I drag a block, it goes so slow that it is difficult to place it right under the previous block.

I wonder if there is going to be a downlod version? I was trying to get a class going in my daughter's school but some classrooms have no internet connection, does this mean that we have to stay with version 1.4?

Aside of these two things, I found v.2 good and glad to see “functions” and the “clone” feature.

Thanks guys!

They are planning to release a downloadable version in the summer (Northern Hemisphere).

Perhaps your computer is just all-around slow. Vista and IE is a bad combo.
