I support, cause I think our system right now is kind of unfair.I personally think it caters to a younger audience than is using Scratch

I use PEGI in fact I made SEGI (scratch European game information)The problem I have with this suggestion is the fact that Scratch is American and America uses ESRB. /sScratch welcomes all countries and races, though.
For this idea my opinion is neutral (for now.) I'm sick today and don't feel like looking up PEGI.

Okay, I actually got some quotes from Paddle2See on this topic for you guys! Here you go:
WolfCat67 asked:Well, looks like Paddle2See immediately rejected the whole idea of this suggestion. However, there is one key word in Paddle2See's reply: POSSIBLY. Hmm.
What about a project that would be rated E for Everyone by the ESRB? Could those still be rated NFE for cartoon violence, fantasy violence, or mild language?
Paddle2See responded:
Very possibly. We aren't aligned with any particular standard rating system.

Okay, I actually got some quotes from Paddle2See on this topic for you guys! Here you go:Meaning that an E rated game (E games are fine for all ages) with a little mild cartoon violence would be NFE and practically censored from the site? I really think the NFE bar should be raised a little higher because at present projects with even a little action in them are practically hidden on the site when they would still be considered OK for all ages by the ESRB.WolfCat67 asked:Well, looks like Paddle2See immediately rejected the whole idea of this suggestion. The problem is, there is no definite line between what is NFE and what is acceptable in your proposal. Some people might think Tom and Jerry is violent, some may not. Yes, I realize the 7+ PEGI system, but a lot of scratchers have no idea what that means. And actually, we do have to pander to 3 year olds, and there are some 8-10 year olds that cannot handle cartoon violence, as strange as that sounds. Sorry, but no support.

This doesn't strongly relate to the main post, however here's a nice comparison of rating systems worldwide:
Australia - G for all ages
US/MEX/CAN - ESRB; EC/E/E10+?***
Germany - USK0/6**
Japan - A
New Zealand - G for all ages
Europe/India/Israel/Pakistan/Quebec - PEGI; 3/7*
Russia: 0+/6+**
Source
*Questionable. Generally, content is suited for 6+, however some of these ratings are suited just over 6+.
**According to the article, this is not advised to younger audiences but not restricted.
***E10+ in the ESRB system isn't always that bad from my experience, is Skylanders: Giants that bad?
Also please note that Wikipedia is an open-editing service, meaning that anyone may modify the page listed to any information, like “Rated Potato.”

Sorry, but no support. The 7+ PEGI system means 7+ as is relatively obvious. For PEGI there aren't any letters that stand for things, it's just 3+ 7+ 12+ 16+ and 18+ which mean for that age and up, I don't really think it is confusing at all.
No matter where you draw the line there are obviously going to be some people in the world who can't handle it, but except in the most negligible of cases, kids who are young enough that they can't handle a little cartoon violence are probably too young to be on the internet unsupervised anyway.

That's not what's being suggested…Support: 100% support
So bad some people dont get the point of the fourm…
This suggestion has been rejected so many times I'm surprised it still up. It is impossible to block people from seeing age innapropriate projects and putting a NFE warning will just create more attention.Yes, but Scratch is just a website encouraging and teaching kids to code simple games, not a website where projects have to be rated FE or NFE. So what if this is catering for younger ones? That's not what's being suggested…Support: 100% support

I kinda agree because someone thought that my pokemon simulator had violence even though it was just text and no move animation. What do you think, does my game have violence?

What do you think, does my game have violence? No, your game isn't too violent in my opinion. It is based off of Pokémon, and Pokémon is a game meant for young audiences. You didn't make it any more violent than it already was, so it's definitely OK.

Most NFE projects only have minor violence so they don't deserve to be practically hidden on the site.NFE dosent meant super violent project omg see that blood please is so much someone call police this is illegalCould you maybe, um, add spaces next time? I'm fixing it for you.

I'd advise that you properly play a game before calling it violent. It does seem to be catering to babies and toddlers. You're right in that Tom and Jerry violence is made for kids and Minecraft level violence is so minor it is basically catering to 2 year olds. Minecraft violence is nowhere near enough to be considered too violent.A Minecraft sword fight is still violence that should never be on Scratch. The only violence that can be on Scratch is pillow-fighting etc. With that statement, it's as if we're catering to literal newborns here. Tom and Jerry-type violence is literally made for children (and Minecraft-level violence is less violent than that show in my opinion), so stating that PILLOW-FIGHTING is the only violence that can be on Scratch seems to be exaggerating by a long shot.
Minecraft is violent. You play as ‘Steve’ where you can kill anything. Any project with weapons and free use of those weapons should be considered violent.
1)Scratch seems a bit like it's trying to sweep violence under the rug and pretend it doesn't exist
2)Don't say something is violent if that's not what you really think; it doesn't help anyone

non-graphic actually means that there's no blood and that the characters involved are nonrealistic. A stickman shooting something like, say, an ogre, with a bow should be fine, provided no gore or blood is shown. No, do you know what non-graphic fighting is?How about a warning? If a child is young enough that even minor violence is not appropriate for them, they are probably too young to be on the Internet unsupervised, so their parents would see the warning. Why you want to NFE projects be featured? Do you read ToU?
(Remember that this is still VERY MINOR violence nothing to get worked up about)
Sigh…
I don't mean NFE projects should be featured! I just mean that projects that contain only VERY MINOR VIOLENCE shouldn't be NFE because it's only very mild and would be perfectly fine for the vast majority of the community.
Projects that contain violence that is more than just minor should be NFE.
Also remember the ToU says “graphically” violent but projects with non graphic fighting are allowed on the site.
It's like pillow fight, or a food fight.
Things like shooting someone, punching in face or blood is extremely restricted.
You can't make NFE projects, by clicking share you agree to that your project is suitable to all ages.
Minecraft isn't graphic. CoD is.

Support: If it is something with cartoon violent such as pokemon or Tom and Jerry it shouldn't be marked not for everyone.

It depends really because non-graphical violence is different for everybody. I think that as long as it doesn't involve a human killing/hurting another human or animal is alright. As @braxbroscratcher said:
A stickman shooting something like, say, an ogre, with a bow should be fine, provided no gore or blood is shown.I think mythical creatures being hurt are alright as well. Most violent projects though won't be featured curated because @Paddle2See has already stated in this forum post here. I think medieval weapons (bows, swords) should be alright as long is the violence is minimal.
