Patch - a Scratch Web Mod

Patch

Library of Scratch Mods

I am working a website called Patch that can load in .sb2 files into existing mods.

Feel free to help on Git

What is special about Patch (or will be):
-Load projects automatically in phosphorus
-Can switch between editors: normal, scrap, more?

Feel free to tell me about your mod as long as normal Scratch can run the .sb2 file in the end

This is really cool! The one thing I have to say is that the editor could be improved, but this project seems promising!

Yes, right now the editor is just a iframe to Tosh. Will be better though soon

I don't think the Scratch website is under the same license as the Scratch Editor. |I though the Scratch Team said somewhere that the website is copyright to the thing at MIT that the Scratch Team work for. Because no license or copyright signage is displayed on the website, I believe that the phrase ‘all rights reserved’ fits. This is a VERY possibile case of copyright infringement. I recommend that you use the contact us buttom to ask for permission to redistribute the Scratch website. Adding to this, if the website is copyrighted. You have relicensed the website which is a crime in many states of America and other countries. (You basically claimed the work as your own by doing that). This could result in a court case for damages and compyright infringement. For your safety. I recommend you check with the Scratch Team before continuing to use the Scratch Website as a base for your website.

My apologies, I was mistaken. It appears the website is under a license allowing you to redistribute the source.

I think so. You should probably recreate a stylesheet that looks very similar to the Scratch site if you want something like that – I don't think they'll get mad at you for using something that looks like their design, unless you intentionally try to trick people into thinking your site is the Scratch site.

PS I think it's bad because the GPL and Creative Commons might not be compatible; don't quote me on that, though.

I'm not great at licensing

All you have to do is read what the license of the software says and if it lets you, use their code under the original license…
