Please help test uploads to beta from Scratch 1.4!
I just tried uploading a 13.4MB project, but got an error. It says Failed: broken connection during upload.

Awesome! Thanks for testing!! Can you ask your friends to try as well? The more successful tests, the more confident we can be! It worked!http://beta.scratch.mit.edu/projects/10117863/#editor
I seriously can't find my scratch.image fileAny help? I searched my whole computer, and found nothing.
Weird! Well if you have 1.4 installed on your machine, and it works, then it's definitely there.
Is it in one of the places described in the first post? That'd be the first place to check.
What OS do you have?
I have Win7. Does that help?

I'm running Ubuntu 12.10, and my scratch.image was in /usr/lib/scratch , not /usr/share/scratch. You might want to mention that on the first post.

Will beta.scratch.mit.edu be renamed as scratch.mit.edu?

Maybe due to Internet connection failure, try again and check that you are connected to the internet. I just tried uploading a 13.4MB project, but got an error. It says Failed: broken connection during upload.

Can someone who is seeing the long “Data sent” message give us one of the projects you tried uploading?
Also! Please try uploading real-live project files - especially big ones! Actually, can someone try uploading a project that's normally too big for the old (current) site, and see what message you get (if any?) I tried it and got “Failed: Uknown reason.”
I tried uploading one the copies of my game Runaway Balls which was made in Scratch 1.4. It's size is 21.7 MB which is past the limit for the old site (Uncompressed). I got the same error message: Failed: Unknown reason

no, scratch 1.4 has a 10 MB limit, but it said ‘Failed: broken connection during upload’ instead of ‘Failed: file too big’ or something like that.Maybe due to Internet connection failure, try again and check that you are connected to the internet. I just tried uploading a 13.4MB project, but got an error. It says Failed: broken connection during upload.

Success!
Process:
1. Download “servers.txt.zip” with Firefox
2. Use “Extract To…” with Filzip (I don't know why I got it) and select ‘C
Program Files/Scratch’ as the place to extract to
3. Open Scratch 1.4
4. Find a random project to upload
5. Uploading - the usual things, but it says something like “Connecting to beta.scratch.mit.edu”, not “Connecting to scratch.mit.edu”
6. It tells me it is uploaded on scratch.mit.edu, but I looked in the “My Stuff” page on 2.0, and there it was!
7. Clap for yourself!
8. Thank the scratch team for having scratch ever be made in the first place!
9. Stop NPW from writing all of these unnecessary steps before he crashes the scratch server which won't really happen!
10. Click Submit before more steps come into my head!

I was wondering how that would work. So, you can just upload from the old program?
