That's impossible. The IP it reads is so it can read your location, that's it. It doesn't matter if someone else has the same IP, because they won't, unless you're on a shared Wi-Fi Network.Okay. There should also be a way to change the IP address for your account. But what if someone has the same IP address as you?Yes. Support. I don't want to get hacked. How would it tell if you're in an unfamiliar location? Would it tell by the IP address?

As well, there has been no known case where a hacker has No support. This would be a real pain, especially since there are many computers in my household, and also since I take my laptop on vacation. I really don't want to have to open my email just to log in. Sorry if you don't agree, but I personally don't think that Scratch hackers are the most important thing to avoid. What's the worst they can do? Get you banned? Delete your projects? Get your email address? How will they log-in to the email? Your password is supposed to be secure, right? I think that if this were to be implemented, I would need a toggle switch. Thanks for reading!Literally hacked a scratchers account, as in, used a security flaw or whatever to get their password. Until we know that is commonplace, no support.. In fact, Scratch Guard could be a security flaw it is more commonplace (gosh I am using that word alot) for E-Mails to be hacked than scratch accounts. Any normal hacker would hack into your email, see the scratch guard notification, if any, and be able to easily breach your account.

Good point. Also what if someone wants to access Scratch on vacation/ Do they have to log in to their email just to Scratch? Support for making Scratch accounts more secure. Meh. Some support. I don't think hacking scratch accounts is a big problem. There is very little incentive, and people should have secure passwords

What about using Scratch at school? (we aren't supposed to use our emails at my school supposedly)

Ah, I see. Hmm, I dunno then. Maybe a toggle off but if it's a school acc, then I don't think there would be one. I'll have to think about that.

If someone logged in from a PC they hadn't logged in from before, it'd stop them and ask for a verification code. Like Steam Guard, but for Scratch. I am a bit confused on this - what would Scratch determine as an “unfamiliar location”?
Thanks for reading and I'll still follow this post,

Sorry if this sounds meticulous, but:
Can you please remove the bait style title; using a phrase that makes people seem like antagonists for not supporting your suggestion is unfair.

Partial support for the security aspects, however it's not 100% necessary for a site like Scratch, and I feel like it would further complicate account verification (since this site is for all ages.)If someone logged in from a PC they hadn't logged in from before, it'd stop them and ask for a verification code. Like Steam Guard, but for Scratch. I am a bit confused on this - what would Scratch determine as an “unfamiliar location”?

I think that this would be better if it were from an unrecognized computer After all, it already has a system where it remembers usernames you have used to log in on that computer, and this would likely do a better job.
