EDIT: Oooh, should I make a Spotify playlist for my albums? I know nobody will listen to it, but I could do it just for fun.

Too lazy to make a whole list right now, but The White Album is there somewhere.

So now that we have some out of the way, here's a question I'm throwing out to the wind:
Which albums didn't click the first time you heard them but really grew on you?
View-Monster and D*mn Skippy didn't really leave any marks until later on. I also wasn't fond of Boardface the first time I heard it; I thought it was boringly drawn-out and too experimental. However, giving time to it as a whole has majorly improved my impression of it and (thanks to some positive memories associated with it) it's now become my number one.
On the other hand, which albums did you somewhat immediately have a strong feeling were gonna be your favourites?
For me, it's Like Drawing Blood and Spirit Phone, both rather high-energy in comparison to the others. Run With The Hunted and Dinosaurchestra both kind of deteriorated in their last few tracks at first, but I enjoyed their first halves regardless.

Honestly most of the albums in my top 10 clicked for me in the first listen. There are tons of albums in my “didn't make the cut” list that didn't click for me first time around. When I first listened to Daft Punk's Discovery I was going through my “i was born in the wrong generation! all electronic music sucks!” phase, so I thought it was terrible. Unknown Pleasures bored me on my first listen. Loveless took forever to click, as it does with everyone, but it was really worth it when it finally clicked. The Seer and To Be Kind were way too much for me on the first listen. I thought Skylarking was disappointing compared to English Settlement when I first listened to it. Kid A confused me a lot when I first listened to it.

I liked everything else on the first listen but there are some albums which had particularly fantastic first listens. The first listen of Wildflower happened on one of the best days of my life. I ended up being late for school because I wanted to listen to the whole thing. I don't have any other first listens as good as that one. In The Court wasn't like anything that I had heard before at the time, so I guess that's another great first listen.

1. “Analog Worms Attack” // Mr Oizo

Mr Oizo's miraculous blend of hip-hop and french house is the reason why this album is so memorable. Also, it's probably something to do with the fact that the French have appeared on this list 4 times. Each track may be minimal, but they're all unique and bass heavy. Thy all also have catchy melodies and are full of depth and percussion. A must if you're a Mr Oizo fan like me.

I haven't listened to that album yet, but I heard some Mr Oizo and it was pretty good.

BUMP (added one album to my honourable mentions)
Is there anywhere appropriate in the forums where we can post album reviews? I was thinking here, but it's probably not the best-fitting.

Updated my albums list and switched out to a top 25. Planning to add the brief overviews back at some point, though I'm not sure how long I can make my post while getting away with it.
