it really is. full 360 movement 24/7, much more detailed environments, MUCH more detailed character models/animations, warning you if you're near a trainer, actual ridable pokemon that you can use in any area instead of just like two in X/Y…

they messed up fishing somewhat, though. now you can only fish in specific areas (which is a dumb change that i don't really get)

I got Alpha Sapphire a while after it came out and I'm still a pretty big fan.

i know, i've caught 4 of them. pikachu appears in the same spot, but it just WONT for me.

i'm just giving up and shoving malasada into my pichu until it evolves
