10 Fast Fingers!

Hey! Something I've been doing lately is trying to increase my typing speed. One of the games online I found to do this is called 10 fast fingers. (I guess you can just google it) It's a really cool application where you can race with others around the world and find out your typing speed.

What is your typing speed? Post your speed or the banner you got from the website!

Whoops sorry for the HTML code above I guess it didn't work, and since I'm still a new scratcher I can't edit my posts.

My score was 100 WMP! What's yours?

Actually, in my case, it's called 9 (and occasionally 10) fast fingers. I mainly use one thumb to hit space and the other one just sits there and wants a job.

Same, but that's a problem with this keyboard since the space only works if you press in the center and if you press hard. :c

The test is rigged since it doesn't take enter as alternate input.

EDIT: On another non-space compatible test, I just got 128wpm.

I got 96 WPM.

I was at about 45 WPM way back in fourth grade. Evidently I've improved since then.

Nice job! Yeah and then also, there is this website called nitrotype. I think it's pretty cool because you can buy cars from the momey you get from winning races.

Nice job! There seems to be a ton of fast typers on scratch! I feel that being able to type faster helps with acedemics. For example, I have a language arts final tomorrow where we get a prompt and then we type up the essay. Us fast typers can spend more time thinking and less time typing!

So I assume you guys touch type, that is, not looking at the keyboard. If not, how fast can you type?

Yep. It only took me about a month from the time I started to typing to not look at the keyboard anymore.

yes i do for the most part but what i do is i read the words on the screen really fast and memorize them, and when i know what I'm typing i generally type a lot faster.
however i would not consider myself a relatively fast typer because you type 100 wpm and jji7skyline over here types 91 wpm on a “cold day” so yeah

Yeah I learned how to do this two summers ago, and I think it took me about 2 months. My real reason for learning how to type fast was because I had a teacher that said, “90 wpm is an incredibly fast typing speed, and I don't know anyone who can type this fast.” Now she does!
