Semi-Support. I'd never use it.

Semi support. It might be helpful but i dont see the difference it will make. No one looks at forum times much, People only look at the date really

I believe that “24-hour time” you're talking about is called “Military Time.”

Support for obvious reasons. Maybe put it in the account settings and have the time blocks use the 12/24 hour setting as well?

Making the time blocks use 12/24 hour would cause problems with projects which are only designed to use one.

It's just a personal preference. Some people prefer the “1-12 X.m.” time representation, others “1-24”.

The message above may contain wrong information, rude remarks, or something embarrassing to my current self. In this case, please ignore it and remember that I likely wrote it back when I didn't know what “respect” truly meant. I really hate thinking about it again.

Support, could be useful for people who think 24h time is confusing.
There should also be a setting to choose whether you prefer 0-23 or 1-24. (I prefer 1-24, don't judge ;-;)

Good, I'm not gonna be a lone fish!

No support:

MOST of the world uses 24-Hour
Even though I use 12-Hour, 24 Hour is much more understandable
It's just a wasteful bunch of code to make an AM/PM system
Yeah, MOST, not ALL
In what way is it more understandable?
And how is it a waste of code to make Scratch more convenient for people like me that use 12 hour time?

Support. Whilst I don't mind 24 hour time, I often space out or just have one of those days and can't figure out what time it is :p
Though, I do know this may be helpful to many other scratchers, especially younger ones who live somewhere where it's 12 hour time.

Firstly, it depends on what “majority” MathlyCat meant (in other words, what is the minimum percentage that counts as a “majority”).
Secondly, the more supporters you have, the more people who hate you, so no one (and nothing) is liked by everyone.
In what way is it more understandable?
  1. You find out what time it is more quickly.
  2. “It's already 10 hours p. m.!” sounds less serious than “It's already 22 hours!” (at least) to me.
And how is it a waste of code to make Scratch more convenient for people like me that use 12 hour time?
I'm not sure if it really is a “waste”, but 12-hour representation does need extra calculations to display.

Where I live, we're so used to the 12-hour system that we can intuitively know what time a 12 hour time means, even if the am/pm part is omitted, so “quickly” is subjective. Also, we usually say “10 o'clock pm,” “10 in the evening,” or just “10 pm,” not “10 hours pm.”

The calculations and code required for converting to 12-hour are negligible compared to the website

2015 was a simpler time

I'm not sure as to if DjangoBB natively supports displaying 12 hour time on posts or if it's really much of a thing with bulletin boards in general, however I don't mind the current system. I alternate between 12 and 24 hour time all the time - my computers display their time in 12 hour time yet my Switch uses 24 hour time. Being proficient at these various forms of time are IMO important skills to being a good internet citizen (because we know how great timezones are lol), so I don't think this should be something of a high priority.

As for anyone saying that “this would be confusing to new/young users”, I'm basing this post off the initial recommendation to have this be just a forum thing, and seeing as the ST are trying to keep the forums pretty hidden means that we shouldn't worry so much about people being confused.

12 vs. 24 Hours

The times are in ET and ET is mainly in the US and the US uses the 12 hour clock so it is really confusing, plus I don't want to subtract 12 from the hour to figure out what it is, so support!

Just saying “support” doesn’t make a clear explanation of WHY you’re supporting it.

The forums were different back then, don't judge people on their 5 year old post which, while unconstuctive, was completely normal back then.

Anyways, semi-support. I use 12 hour time but have gotten used to 24 hour time, but this would be useful to the people who haven't.
