Why won't my projects get any views?
I make *ahem* quality content and once upon a time my projects received an understandable amount of views. As recently as last year, I made Ster Wares:Teh Newb Hope and I received 84 views. However, when I recently released my projects, no one views it!
I would understand if the covers of my projects were lacking so it would not interest the average viewer and prevent them from clicking on it, but my game “Space Shooter Deluxe” had an excellent cover, but no one but myself and my friend viewed it!
I have three suspicions as to why I get no traction when it comes to views anymore:
1: The new scratch search format. Perhaps the new update to the search page for scratch (although nice-looking) lacks any sort of search tools that it used to have and it seems as though I cannot find any of my projects, even if I look under recent after I publish it!
2: Scratch has blacklisted me. I have said some rather negative things to other creators in the past, and maybe scratch has blacklisted me from appearing in searches, but that is an assumption that I cannot back up.
3: Scratch may not have the user base it once had. This may not be true, as the discussion forms seem to be rather active, but it could be that scratch has died down in popularity and almost no one views recent projects as much anymore.
These three reasons are sorted in the most likely to least likely.
If anyone has any solutions to how I can get tens of people to view my projects and let appreciate to work I put into them please let me know!
Thanks, chscp6cstetson.

Why won't my projects get any views?
Lots of people ask this. Its not ur fault its getting no views. It sometimes takes A LONG TIME. Try putting it in LOADS of studios and put it as ur featured project. There r lots of things u can try.

Okay thanks! I have never put my projects into other studios before, I have always relied on the random chance that some one stumbles across it.
I guess I will try that option. Thanks!

Don't text speak, I mean, unless you're house is on fire. I'm assuming that's the case, so I've kindly called the fire brigade. Yes, those sirens are coming for you. Lots of people ask this. Its not

Anyways.
My suggestions: Try to be an active member of the community. Make friends on Scratch, and view other people's profiles. They might just return the favor (especially younger Scratchers). Try answering questions on Questions About Scratch, because they usually check out profiles after receiving an answer. (Sorry for the stereotyping)
As for #2, I don't think you can physically get blacklisted. The Scratch Team likes to forgive, so it's unlikely that there's any remains of that past.
As for #1, yeah, the Scratch search stinks. I remember reading that remixes are placed higher up than the original project. It's crazy.
As for #3, (This is my personal opinion, so don't freak) I find that more people use Scratch as a mock social media. So yeah, people view projects, but mostly they like talking to people on their profiles or helping in the forums. Especially with the whole f4f thing. Scratch is still a coding site, just a little social media-ish, too.
So, there you have it. I hope I was helpful.
(I was actually wondering about your username. Do you ever forget it? Was it just keyboard smashing, or is there some logic to it?) //offtopic

Why won't my projects get any views?
Ok, I've said this too many times to write it out manually again. Have a self-quote

My tips
Have a cool thumbnail. Have a cool thumbnail. Have a cool thumbnail. I say this a lot. The best way to get views on your projects is to make people click on it.
Corollary: Have a concise title. The main idea of your project should fit before the “…” cutoff of the project title on your profile page. If you have a long title, put it in the thumbnail (preferably in a cool font)
Make games. People like games. People really like unique games. And if you have a unique game that also is technically advanced (for example, cloud multiplayer) you're almost guaranteed to get love-its.
Contrary to what most people say, don't advertise in show and tell or spam your project into studios. It's counterproductive and doesn't get you many results (especially show and tell. Nobody ever looks at anybody else's topics there). Once you make a good project people will essentially do the promotion for you.

Try to be a bit more constructive. Bright-Idea said that this was hurtful to them, so please try to think out your posts before you post them, as you could hurt someone's feelings. Thanks!Ignore that. The way to become famous on Scratch is to join Scratch Underground.

Now, in answer to your question, chscp6cstetson, here is a short guide on how to get more views:
Post in the Show and Tell Forum
One thing you can do is post in the Show and Tell forum. You need to make sure you make your project sound really interesting. Describe your project and explain how to play it, but don't give away too much! You want to give your audience a reason to play your game. Also, put a link to your project in your post. This makes it easier for viewers to get to the project. Most people won't be bothered to go to your profile and search for it. Basically, make a constructive post that makes your project sound good.
Put Links in Your Signature
Do you use the forums much? Yes? No? Either way, this is a good strategy. Change your signature to advertise your project (for example, see mine). This way, whenever you use the forums, anyone who sees your post will see a link to your project.
Help People!
One good way to get your project views, and a good thing to do in general, is to help people. (I just want to clarify, you shouldn't help people for the purpose of getting views. You should help people just for the sake of helping people and being a good person!

Keep Trying!
Keep trying! If your project isn't too popular at first, don't give up! But make sure you don't overdo it. Just don't give up.
Hope this helps!

Why won't my projects get any views?
What I'd do is make a Show and Tell forum post, and bump it every few days. In my experience, this usually gets anything from 0 to 4 new views. Over about a month of this, my projects now have about 25 views. It is a very long and frustrating way to do it, but if you keep at it, things will eventually accumulate. (Just don't do it too frequently, it's best to leave two or three days between bumps.)
