I think this would fit better in the questions about scratch forum. I'll report it to be moved.

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble running Scratch. You might want to check and see if you are running the most current version of your browser and of the Flash plugin.

Well, you probably just have a slow computer that can't handle it

What are you trying to say?
Edit: whoops I missed that your response was actually in the quote

30fps is what Scratch limits itself to, so I think you're fine

Do you find this crash happens for all projects you try? Or is it just a specific one that you are working on?

If it's all projects, then it may mean there is a problem on your computer that you should try to track down. Perhaps run some anti-virus checks, and ensure there isn't some process(es) ‘taking over’ your computer that you don't want!

If it only happens for a specific project that you are writing, then it may well be something you have done within the script itself – there are some ways that you can crash Flash if you're not careful. I'd suggest you share the project and let us take a look…

Well your title is different than what you're actually asking, so…

For the Title
Yes, there are some visual-based programming language websites out there. I don't have a precise list, nor do I feel like searching right now. (Someone help?)

For the Description

Are you running a script-heavy software, app, or website while trying to use Scratch? Keep in mind that Scratch is Flash-heavy, so if you're running something else that is script-heavy, Scratch is going to crash. This is especially true if you're running something that is also Flash-heavy (such as a YouTube video, for example).

How is the year relevant in this case? Scratch 2.0 offline can be too heavy on the computer sometimes.
