How do you create banners?
One thing that I would really like to know is how to create a banner for a studio or for a game series. I would like a few Scratchers to post a detailed description to teach me and others how to create a banner. I think that it would be great if there were lots and lots of posts that teach people how to create a banner because then we could read how to do it from lots of people's point of view so that it could be easier to create a banner when there are lots of posts. The banner type that I like are a link yo the shop or game that they are advertising.

Well, you first have to choose an image editor. It can be anything, external program or you can just use the scratch costume editor. You can put fancy designs, pictures and colourful text.
Save the finished image, and you can upload it to where you want.

You can use another program to make the banner and upload it to scratch. Or you can use it in the Scratch Vector or Bitmap Editor.

I do not have any other programs. You can use another program to make the banner and upload it to scratch. Or you can use it in the Scratch Vector or Bitmap Editor.

You can use some programs in Scratch. I personally prefer Vector but Bitmap works well too. You would start with a rectangle (of course) and start adding images and layers. Color choice is also important.
> Make sure the name of the studio or project is in a large, readable font. Color it appropriately but make sure it is discernible from the background.
> In Vector, duplicates and reshapes are your best friend. Duplicates can let you create patterns and things.
> If you use bitmap, make sure the file is large enough so the image does not seem pixellated.
I don't have much experience with this so I'm probably telling you little you don't already know.
But the thing with art is that it's flexible and versatile, and you should be creative.
Scratch On!
(On a side note, outside Scratch, you can use Microsoft Paint for bitmap and Inkscape (free) or even Powerpoint to make banners! It's a lot easier.

For future use. I use pain.net you can choose a specific square or freestyle area and only pain in that one area you chose. Way easier than going full stiff mode with your hands and mouse trying to make a perfect line.
