I have tried to get a rounded rectangle in Scratch. I have tried freehand drawing it and smooth/reshape. I have text edited SVG files to create arcs (which aren't handled in a standard way. I don't have a good svg editor but I'm worried that Scratch won't read those svgs anyway.

Do you have a good rounded rectangle I can use?

Use Paint.net, a free paint program. It has that feature

Clarifying - I was looking for a vector version of rounded rect.

I know it is possible for me to create one in a bitmap editor.

Ok, here's how I do it. In vector. Make a circle in vector mode. Then in the options menu on the side, choose the one under the mouse. It should make the circle have little dots around it. Grab on of the dots on the circle and pull it so it make a rounded corner. Do the same with the other sides until it is the shape you like. Hope That helped!
