I also emailed someone who will be presenting a conference paper with Martin(*) in a few weeks and didn't get a reply from him either. I'm starting to go from concerned to worried.

(*: assuming it's the right Martin; however even if it wasn't I'd have expected a reply of some sort from at least one of the two people I emailed)

I'm fairly sure this is our Martin: http://www.phlu.ch/martin-braendli based on him working in education and living in Switzerland.

and this is where he's supposed to be 2 weeks from now: http://www.sdd2016.de/sektionen/sektion-8-kulturen-des-inszenierens/braendli-martinbannwart-lukas-literatur-vor-ort/

My written German is OK (with a little help from Google Übersetzer) but it's been 40 years since I spoke any. Do we have any native German-speaking adults here who might try calling the personnel office at that school to ask for him? If so, post here first, we don't want to make multiple calls just in case this is the wrong person.

G
According to a comment on his profile, he is training to be a teacher and he studied medicine at the university of Zurich. I don't know if this would help. I'm getting a bit worried, too, but not too worried, because many worrying things have happened to me this summer and I'm used to it.

Edit: Before you ask, no, I'm hopeless at German.

Just another thing… he may not appreciate it either if we look up everything about him.

This thread is starting to get a little ‘weird’
Maybe we should back off a little on the info gathering…

I don't think he can appreciate anything if he's actually in serious trouble…

Well spotted. OK, well for some reason he's just gone quiet. We'll just have to wait until he surfaces again to see what happened.

Perhaps his account's just muted - where he can't comment, post or share anything, but he can use everything else on the account otherwise.

It isn't officially over because MartinBraendli disappeared and has not said it is over.

Why does that matter whether it's “officially” over or not? I don't really understand why that should be important…
