Hey, so I was trying to make a project, and it had a “walk” cycle, so I had rolling hills in the background. For some reason, one of the sprites refuses to be size 100%, andd it remains at 56%… it's getting really annoying, so, yeah

That is true… but I've had a sprite that's larger than the screen before, and it was always at 100% size…

You can have a costume that's significantly larger than the stage size, but Scratch will not let you *set* a costume's size to so much larger than the stage via the “set/change size” block. Once you try to do that it will limit it (even if it *was* larger before you set the size).

The way to get a costume back to being larger than the stage is to ‘fool’ Scratch by first setting the size to the value you want (say 100%) on a costume that will not get restricted (because it is small enough to fit within the stage at 100%, or whatever size you want).

Once that is done, you can switch to the bigger costume. The size will remain at 100%, even though this bigger costume is now larger than the limit Scratch would allow if you used the “set/change size” block on it.

switch costume to [small costume v]
set size to (100) %
switch costume to [rolling hills v]
