How do I get a picture of a script?
I'm making a tutorial, and in order to do so I need to show a picture of the scripts. Problem is, my drawing is awful and I don't know how to get a picture of a script. Any suggestions?

How do I get a picture of a script?
Push “print screen” (which takes a picture of your screen) and paste it into some image editing program. Then, save it as an image file and upload it to scratch.
If you are on a Mac or Linux computer, I don't know how to take a screenshot.

I do

Command+Shift+3 to take a screen shot
Command+Shift+4 will let you drag your mouse over a region for a partial-shot.
Should appear on desktop as a .png

Oh yes that reminded me of the snipping tool! If you are on windows 7 and maybe 8 and maybe some previous versions there should be an application called “snipping tool” which allows you to grab pictures from the screen and save them. Command+Shift+4 will let you drag your mouse over a region for a partial-shot.

When I push print, the screen prints. When I press the arrow thingy next to print, it asks about page setups and print previews.

No,push “print screen”. It's a button on your keyboard. On mine it is next to F12 and Insert.
By the way, are you running Windows, Mac OS, or Linux?

Yes, so you can either use the snipping tool (depending on your version of windows), or you can push the “print screen” button on your keyboard (for me, it is spelled prtsc) and then paste the image into an image editor and save it.No,push “print screen”. How do I get a picture of a script?
The ultimate solution would be if right-clicking on a script would show an option to save the script as an image (similar to Scratch 1.4), but in svg format (vector graphics). In projects featuring images of scripts, I feel that the bitmap graphics look particularly ugly in full screen mode.

for a PC. press Print screen, then open a program that can edit it (paint, gimp, etc), then edit it to the right size or take some parts out.
