Ingarts RPG Collab Now Hiring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone It's me AmericanCoder123 also known as @YMIBANWAH. I decided that I would like to start a new collaboration for a game I've always wanted to make. The game is called Ingarts. It is a turn based combat game similar to pokemon. The base concept revolves around Ingarts being computer programs that simulate life and run on molding balls of mass that become creatures. The programs of Ingarts can be stored on high tech crystals. The Ingarts can then be released through an Ingart gun. They are commonly used for recreational combat. An Ingart uses special attacks and combos. These can be engineered with items found around the world. As Ingarts age in real time, become higher levels, and build closer relatioships with their trainer they mutate. They change species when they mutate. You can modify Ingarts right after obtaining them and when they mutate to create custom subspecies versions that look and preform differently. That's just the tip of the Iceberg. I will reveal more as I go. I will be scripting the games but that doesn't mean that the rest of the team can't give input. Also there will be more than one game. Once the first one nears completion some of us will begin adding to it improving the engine and developing the sequel.

Listed below are the jobs.

Programmers - Code the game. jjbrady18

Tester - Not Available quite yet. Tests the game.

Data Manager - Works with save codes, compressed data, and possibly cloud systems.

Map Artist - Draws the game's tile based maps. wbpx9201, empty, empty, empty, empty

Monster Artist - Takes my draft images and turns them into better looking small animations. wbpx9201, empty, empty, empty, empty

Interfacer - Designs and codes the user interfaces.

Art Manager - Manages and works on the projects that the map artists, monster artists, and sometimes the interfacers are working on.

Coding Manager - Manages and works on the the projects the programmers, data managers, and sometimes the interfacers are working on. Centrifugal

To apply provide a link that shows why you are qualified for the job or jobs you are applying for. If there is no link I will look at all of your projects. Don't worry if you get denied a position you can probably still get another position. I may not accept most manager applications, but don't be discouraged I'm sure I can work you into the system somewhere. Anyone that applies gets a job but not always their priority.

Please join I'm happy to take you all.

This seems like a good idea for a game! I'd like to join as (In priority order) Monster Artist, Map Artist and/or Programmer.
Examples: Programming: My WIP “Text RPG” game.
Art: I do Vector art mainly. See “Clash Of Clans Art” and “Lightspeed Ship” for examples.

Ok Welcome to the team. I have you as Map Artist and Monster Artist. I would be happy to make you art manager though. You wouldn't have to work too much with interfaces and if you did it would be drawing buttons and things like that. I will get you some basic sprites for you to improve soon.

Ok, I'll try, but without a rough draft they might not look like what you had in mind.

Yeah I was planning to do many drafts before we finalize any one Ingart.

So do you want me to make a draft of them or can you show me a draft of what they should look like for me to improve?

Also, will the art be in Bitmap? Seeing as it is like pokemon. If so, I'm only good at Vector art so yeah.

I'd like to be a programmer and interfacer (primarily coding the interface).
Examples of my work: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/10030323/ , http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/13626552/
Thanks.

I'd prefer vector as I'd like it to look nicer than pokemon. Graphically they can be different but gameplay wise they have some similar features.

Hi Centrifugal I have decided to accept you as a programmer. I would be willing to make you an interfacer if you could show me some more advanced interfaces that support dragging and things. Also you could be the coding manager. You would have to do minimal work with logic and cloud data but it also gives you a chance to help with the interfaces a bit.

Ok, thanks. I'll see if I can make an example interface to see if I'm suited for interfacer/ coding manager. In the meantime, I'm assuming there isn't much to code yet with no art. Is there anything that needs to be done?

Okay here is an example of an interface, it was done quickly so the graphics aren't great and the dragging isn't foolproof but its a rough attempt.

Can you work on a smooth multidirectional scrolling engine? I'm currently working with data management and creating data for the creatures but I would also like to get the open world part of the game running.

Here's the engine so far. I made it so you can only go in one direction at a time but I could easily change that. It uses cloning.
