No support, too confusing for New Scratchers
WARNING: NOT A SUGGESTION
Hi there, I looked and was going to go ask for this to be added to the Guide for Constructive Replies, but it was unstickied and Sigton's guide was stickied in it's place, but that one doesn't really deal with stuff like this, so..
If you sometimes say, “No support, too confusing for New Scratchers” I have several arguments for you.
1. The greatest tool to learn, is to play.
2. You were also once a New Scratcher.
3. Some New Scratchers figure coding out faster than others. Or they may have come from C, or C++ or Java.
4. Be nice, you don't know the person behind the avatar.
So please remember, be nice, be respectful, and chill out, it's just a website.
TL;DR: Don't say it's too confusing for New Scratchers, you don't know the person behind the avatar, so be nice.

But you don't want to have Scratch be too confusing. Variables and custom blocks are fine, but some can be too confusing. Scratch is a programming language for beginners.

The user was not implying that everyone in Mexico is a jerk. Please don't assume things. Thanks!4. New Scratchers aren't stupid, that's like saying all white people are celebrities or that anyone from Mexico is a jerk. How dare you, i live on Mexico..

Maybe rephrase #4?
4) Don't assume that new Scratchers do not have the ability to learn.

Maybe rephrase #4?I suggest you do this. Its somewhat offensive to think about it.4) Don't assume that new Scratchers do not have the ability to learn.
I would also add that a better phrase would be “too difficult to understand for users new to programming.”

Maybe rephrase #4?I agree with this, some of my friends are Mexican and you're being very offensive.4) Don't assume that new Scratchers do not have the ability to learn.

Does nobody get what “that's like saying” means (especially in that context)? It means that's not what they would say and that if you say it you're wrong.
EDIT: and no it's not saying that anybody who says “that confuses new scratchers though lol” are also saying “mexicans are stupid lol”, it's just comparing the two statements.
EDIT 2: but yeah I support that change to OP anyways, since I think that's more what they're trying to say anyway.

Confusion aside, perhaps comparing saying “New Scratchers are stupid!” to racism wasn't a very sensitive idea in the first place.

Removed 4 as it was confusing and somewhat offensive I will admit.

But you don't want to have Scratch be too confusing. Variables and custom blocks are fine, but some can be too confusing. Scratch is a programming language for beginners.Well in some cases its fine, I mean sometimes people are trying to change how scratch works so that's pretty complicated but when they want to add a few blocks that are just optional to use than its not like you have to know how those blocks work. When I was a new scratcher I just ignored variables and operators before I knew how they worked.
Sorry after posting that I re read your post

No support, too confusing. No but I still don't support and I probably won't change. I agree some New Scratchers are fast learners (I know because I was a fast learning) but something doesn't always mean the exact title. I think "Too confusing " should work. Scratch has a low floor and a high ceiling. Advanced features raise the floor. Pen is one of my favorite examples. It's easy for people to write text or something, but the high ceiling doesn't mean it won't be useful on higher levels like a 3D engine… You understand? Thanks for taking your time reading this post, which I am making longer as I type this uneventful ending, So I'll stop now.

While I support making sure that Scratch isn't too challenging to New Scratchers I do think thats not a good reason to no support. But if we stop saying this than maybe some changes would be made to the site making it too challenging for new Scratchers. Seimi support.
