Hey everyone! Just wondering, on your first ban from the site, how long does that ban last for? I'm a little nervous because I have 4 alerts from comments and my brother, @TomatoProgramz, has been banned 4 times. We have the same IP address and if I get banned once, does that result in an IP ban? Does it make me banned permanently? I love Scratch, and I REALLY don't want to have my account blocked.

Also, can anyone's FIRST ban be permanent?

And, how many times can you be banned for? (Sorry, I have so many inquiries)

I think it really depends on the case. The scratch team considers very carefully before banning a person. (I was going to be all good and try to explain it, but it's really just easier to give you this happy little scratch wiki link. Let me know if you still have questions.)

Depends on the offense. For repeated minor offenses, it can last for a few days. For repeated major offenses, it will be permanent*

* you can always appeal for bans

The ST bans only for repeated offenses. That is, if you break the same part of the CGs over and over, that's when you get banned.

Usually bans come with an account ban and IP ban

As many times as you keep committing offenses.

Look, you really have nothing to worry about. Just make sure to keep following the CGs, and don't break the same part of them over and over.

2. Press the “promote” button next to them in the curator tab.
3. Anywhere from 3 days - forever.
4. Please don't post on old topics.

Bans can go from 3 days to forever depending on what happens and how severe it is
