What defines a good game? (Specifically an RPG)
I want to know what makes a good game, how to make it be addictive, and make people want to sit through a long adventure. Specifically in RPGs. Any suggestions for gameplay?
My final project will be an Action RPG with turn-based elements. It will have clever use or opponent analysis which features specifically in turn-based games, but plays like a real-time one which will have you constantly thinking.
Also, look at this Teaser Intro Video for the actual game, and tell me what you think of it, does it look good. BTW I'm developing it on 1.4, I don't quite trust 2.0 yet, it's difficult to work with until he offline version comes out, and so I could publish it on the 1.4 website for the people still over there.
Does that sounds okay?
So yeah, just your opinions on what is a good game.
It doesn't need to be about RPGs, but tell what you like and such about already existing games, in the industry and on Scratch.
Thanks.

Good games can be replayed at will in any point in the story (levels), or constantly allow for the user to improve the setting of the game (Minecraft). Also, many good games have many updates that improve the game quality, speed, etc. They are not too difficult or too easy (a difficulty option is good), and there are no spelling or grammar errors. They can be similar to console games, but they are not based off games from other Scratchers. They also should have good graphics, 2D or 3D, and they should be fast enough to play without crashing every couple minutes. There should also be many characters, along with their signature moves.

Thanks for your opinions! I took a lot of them into consideration, some of them were what I thought before hand, nice to see them confirmed.

I can't bear games which have spelling or grammar mistakes. Should have many memorable characters and interesting settings along with a captivating but easy-to-understand storyline. c:
