Add a "most viewed games section"
No. Fame and popularity is one method of encouraging users to cyberbully and spam for attention to try to get famousScratch isn't about getting other people to see your work. It's about learning to code. If all you want if for other people to see your work, then try posting it on social media or something. Scratch is for coding. Not for fame and popularity. But fame and popularity is one method of encouraging users to keep learning, creating, and challenging themselves.

My idea here was to have it be like the apple app store top charts, so whether it's already frontpaged would be irrelevant. If an app landed in the app store's featured section, that wouldn't mean it gets left off the top charts.

This is a bit confusing, although the central concept is clear. It's obvious that video games will be promoted, but how will Scratch quickly detect which are video games and which are not?
Perhaps a video-game tagging system (similar to the tags we already have for each project already), or people nominate games to be on the page (which in that case, should repeat every two weeks or something)?
Thanks for reading,
Austinato

Well it can, because if you read the article, you would know that people can cheat the view system, simply by using something like autoclicker. Also check your spelling.I meant that I wanted to tell you to be more constructive when replying, only say that when the suggestion can encorage being popularThat wasn't what I meant, please don't be rude.Scratch isn't about popularity, no support. Then let's remove the show and tell forums and all the front page sections exept scratch news!
EDIT: As i have just now tested, autoclicker does not work. However, logging out, clicking the green flag, and logging back in works just fine. Paired with iMacro, it could be a bad thing.

Im not gonna support this suggestion, because it seems biased to games. What about other projects, like art, programming in general, animations, etc? Are those gonna sink into the depths of Oblivion?

But it's important to write why on the post where you say don't support, instead of slowly explaining post by post.I've said why, if you read my other postsNo supportWhy?

This had been in Scratch before and it was removed. Here is a Scratch wiki article about it: https://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/What_the_Community_is_Viewing .

Note: this isn't about what I think of the suggestion. Now you put in the title ‘most viewed games’, so I want to say that scratch isn't just about games
(even though they are the most popular type of project). Scratch is about programming games, animations, simulations, random projects, and so on.
