Those comments look awesome! I've never much liked the comments in Scratch (they've always been a bit finicky), but these seem great! Although it doesn't appear to be possible to add a comment which isn't attached to a block. I wonder how they'll handle already-existing projects which contain floating comments…? Try commenting on the blocks

Oh yes. Scratch 3 is going to be fun.in the VM.Not sure if this is news, but all the graphic effects are working
Edit: The effects seem to be identical to 2.0 for the most part, although things get a bit different with extreme values (try comparing mosaic effect of 1500 between 2.0 and the Scratch 3 VM).
why you gotta use tinypic tho

actually the ST @ reddit said that their gonna make scratch handle 60fpsI highly doubt it. This is Scratch, not 60 fps 1080p ultra grafix Battlefield. I hope Scratch will be in the 16:9 ratio for us with 1080p screens. Finally, some HD projects.

This is not quite true - the ST is considering making Scratch 3.0 run at 60fps, but it's not confirmed yet. There are a lot of backwards compatibility issues that might come with a shift to 60fps, which would need a lot of careful design and implementation so 3.0 wouldn't break 2.0 projects. actually the ST @ reddit said that their gonna make scratch handle 60fps

Since 3.0 is using WebGL that means there's no more excuse to avoid adding a greyness effect
…right?
…right?
A block idea or whatever.
go [in front of v] sprite [sprite1 v] :: looks
Wow, this is a really empty sig. needs some defining features… ah!

I guess they could add it, but I believe grayscale is actually possible with the current blocks, as demo'd by @gtoal:

That's pretty sick
not sure if it's practical, but then again I don't really care

True, although that requires some tricky coding. Not very practical if you want it on big projects with a lot of sprites using grayscale.Since 3.0 is using WebGL that means there's no more excuse to avoid adding a greyness effect

Yes, I agree that it's not the most obvious way of creating grayscale

Well to be fair there really wasn't too much of an excuse other than ‘we don’t wanna' before anyways, the work done for adding the block was already mostly done (Read: The corresponding flash code was already there). ST just needed to put the block in the pallete
EDIT: Not sure why I just responded to myself
well, whatever
