In July 8, the Add to Backpack button was added.
But it's removed!

Why was it removed?

Weird. It's probably gone because people are using it to create hacked blocks? For example you were able to put this into your backpack:

if <move () steps :: stack> then{
 when gf clicked
say (pen down :: stack) for (play drum (6 v) for (0.25) beats :: stack) secs} :: control

Wait, where did it go? Does it still work with non-hacked blocks?

I honestly don't know why it would have been removed, other than the “hacked” block thing…

Wow… I do remember seeing it diminishing from the suggestions forums, and now it is gone completely.

I will call a moderator on the topic and see what they say about the issue.

It's gone! I thought it was because I was on my phone I hope they bring it back.

I asked Paddle and he said he doesn't know why…

The ‘add to backpack’ feature was removed as it was allowing blocks that weren't created by the Scratch Editor, resulting in confusion and malfunctioning projects. We thought it best to remove the feature until more error-checking could be added to it to prevent those issues.
