Durmstrang Institute of Magic

To Whom It May Concern,

You have been accepted into the Durmstrang Institute of Magic. The first term begins on August 31st.

Durmstrang ~RP~ is the 6th school created for an RP in the Wizarding World. At the bottom of this page, there are links to all of these threads and studios. Durmstrang Institute focuses on combative magic and the Dark Arts, making its reputation a nefarious one. The information regarding Durmstrang is minimal, so most of this RP is not based on canonical evidence, but based on knowledge of the Wizarding World and its schools.

Tʜᴇ Hᴏᴜsᴇs
This RP follows fictional houses, or häuser. There are five häuser, Luches, Waghalsige, Scheidend, Feierlich, and Esprit. These houses will be decided for the student, and house rivalry is encouraged. When a student first joins, they are unsorted until the end of the month where, if the RP character is developed enough, they will be sorted into the house that best fits them. Each house has a Leiter, which is the German equivalent to the English Prefect or the French Musketeer. Students start at Durmstrang as early as age nine and end at age twenty, meaning there is a range from Erstklässler (First Years) to Elfteklässler (Eleventh Years). Neuntklässler (Ninth Years) through Elfteklässler are given responsibilities such as Adjutant des Schulleiters (Headmaster's Aide) and Lehrhilfe (Teacher's Aide). Lehrhilfe teach classes in the absence of a professor. The Adjutant des Schulleiters hs the power of a deputy headmaster and is always an Elfteklässler. Here is the list of students:

Qᴜɪᴅᴅɪᴛᴄʜ
Quidditch is required at Durmstrang as a class and a sport. Most students will be on the Anfänger Kader (Novice Squad) as players or substitutes. Bad Quidditch players and Erstklässler will be on the Vor Kader (Pre-Squad). Exceptional Quidditch players will be on the Ehren Kader (Honor Squad) and represent the school in competitions. Those in the Ehren Kader often continue on to National Teams like Viktor Krum did in 1994. The team you are on is dictated by the Kapitäns (Captains) of the squads. The positions are as follows Hüter (Keeper), Sucher (Seeker), Center Jäger (Center Chaser), Außen Jäger (Outside Chaser), Trieber (Beater), Substitute

The Professors at Durmstrang can teach any of the subjects listed below. Each teacher also has a house affiliation and helps with discipline for the respective house. The teachers at Durmstrang can be fired at anytime, as only the elite can teach, so please do your job well.
