Disable Studio Invites

There is no valid reason why this shouldn't be implemented by now. You could just go to your Account Settings, and in the tab that pops up, add a “Disable Studio Invites” checkbox that is off by default.

I'm sick and tired of people inviting me to their roleplaying studios, and I know other people are, too.

Even better (I think this may have been suggested before), just add a list of checkboxes for messages you receive like:

  • Notify me when someone follows me
  • Notify me when someone favorites my project
  • Notify me when someone loves my project

etc.

I see how you might say that, but my suggestion would disable invites completely… sorry if it's worded unclearly

Oh, I see. (The topic I linked to says that you will still get all the messages, but you will only be notified by the ones you checked off)

There is also a difference between studio invites and studio messages. I believe Cakesandpies is suggesting that there should be an option not to receive invites.
(btw, sorry for the bold, I mean no offense by it. Just easier to get the point across.)
Semi-support, I suppose it would kind of be nice since you would still have the option of joining, you just wouldn't get the invite message. But I would never use it and there would be times it could get quite annoying if you're trying to head a contest or something.

no support, this would make studios useless for colabs because lots of people would disable it

If you were part of a collab, you could just keep it enabled, or receive the invitation then disable it, no?

You can't, unfortunately. That's what this thread is suggesting, though

I don't think it would ever be “annoying”, because if you have the option off and want to keep it off (which is default), then everything would be the same as far as you're concerned.

No support. Nobody would have it on and the function would lose it's purpose.

I didn't know a person could generalize this hard. At least try to give a constructive reason.

I like this idea. I'm sick of studio invites to studios that I will never participate in and that have nothing to do with my interests.

I'm noticing alot of the users on the forums these days are a lot… well, “younger”
More people necroposting, less people being constructive, and derailing (which is kind of what I'm doing right now so eh.)

Anyways no support, it would disconnect you from the community (and those invites aren't even annoying anyways)
