Editing text in a text box?
I want to edit text within a text box that I have already closed. I can't figure out how to get back in the text box once I've moved on to the next slide. If I select the “text” or “select” option, it just wants to add a new text box on top of the old text box. Any help would be appreciated.

Editing text in a text box?
I am so confused!

This is the Bitmap Editor. In the Bitmap Editor, costumes are made up of dots.

In the vector editor on the other hand, costumes represented as points and shapes.
You can only edit text boxes in Vector Mode. For more information, see the Scratch Wiki article about the Paint Editor.

Hope that helps!

! WARNING:There can only be one text box in Scratch 1.x paint editor.

Editing text in a text box?
My recommendation is that you use the select tool to move or delete text. Then you can simply make another text box with the text to want to insert into the first one, move that text box into the correct place, and it will look like one text box. There might be simpler ways, but that's how I do it.
