So I just got Pokémon Yellow on my 3DS, gonna try getting the level 100 Gengar/Nidoking/Mew/whatever. Hope I don't screw up!
EDIT: And I found Nidoking, but KO'ed him. Time to retry it.
EDIT: Now I got Voltorb??

^ iirc level 3 caterpie gives you nidoking almost every time

but meanwhile: list of pokemon by gen 1 index number

voltorb and slowbro are right around nidoking so you can see why they appeared

charizard is way too high for that point in the game but i'll assume you were joking

I'd like an Ivysaur at least. I've only found Nidoran (F), Rattata, and Pidgey.

Cutting level 1 pokes' HP down is really difficult. Nidoking is the easiest because you can just wait until it uses Thrash, gets confused, and self-hits
