Great news! Hope we'll be able to c that soon! The thing I expect is that'll be much faster than current version of Scratch. Also a good thing would be some more blocks for rlly hard things, altough I like to create ultra long scripts just to change a variable in any way :3 Eventually new custom blocks as well. Thank you so much for your hard work.
Oh and I see the
Oh and I see the
boolean block::boolean listworks now! Cool thing, altough answering to the post over mine - block like “does () contain ()” is quiet easy to create. I guess ST won't add such simple things as this, but yeah it would actionally help.

I've used a scoring system (length x width x simplicity) and flash has the highest score anyway.I'm not “controlling” you (wat) and why don't you look at the graphs you posted a link to?You can't control me. Anyway, Flash is still extremely popular, and if you don't believe me? Newgrounds : From 1995 to 2016 almost every game is in Flash. Kongregate : We also have a ton of Flash games. Also, just because a language isn't “Trendy” or “Popular” doesn't mean I can't use it, and also, look! This is the current height of Flash's usage! It's much higher than Javascript or Silverlight, and only a bit lower than Java. This means that it is used by many high-traffic sites, and those sites should know what they are doing. Also, Javascript is used by many lower-quality sites.Scratch 3.0 will be backwards compatible with Scratch 2.0. How many times have I posted that on this topic? Nope. I'm packing up. I'm leaving. NOPE! If they're changing which will ultimately remove all my hard work in 2.0, then I'm leaving. It's good I'm getting Flash 7 in 2017, because NOPE. Also, Flash isn't “dying,” as many describe. Youtube is Flash. Any website you've seen probably uses Flash. There are entire websites made in Flash. (LAWLOLAWL is in Flash. Jonochrome is in Flash. What more must I say? Oh, and I'd consider Newgrounds Scratch, using Flash-developed games.) So Flash is not dying, and if this is what you want, fine. But I'm leaving.YouTube's old player uses Flash, but the current player doesn't use Flash at all. Because old software still depends on Flash doesn't at all mean it isn't dying.
Edit : I can't go anywhere without people bashing my opinion. I'm not making you use Flash 7, and I don't need to know how popular Flash is. Even if it's own company dislikes it. If Scratch Team abandons Scratch, would you still use it?
JavaScript is on the “used by many sites” side. Flash doesn't even come close.
Edit : You have no reason to be forcing me not to use Flash.
1. That makes 0 sense, please refer to the fact that we're not judging on simplicity, we're judging on more important topics like usability, not simplicity.
2. Flash just had a security vulnerability a few weeks back, it's dying, Scratch 3.0 will be backwards compatible, and Scratch Team and Google aren't halting progress because one person's computer is a potato.

Hi Scratchers,
Earlier this week, the MIT Scratch Team announced a new collaboration with Google. I’m writing, on behalf of the Scratch Team, to provide you with a little more information about this collaboration – and what it means for the Scratch community.
We view the Google announcement as one step in our process of developing the next generation of Scratch, which we informally call Scratch 3.0. This new version will be designed to run well on mobile devices and all modern browsers, and it will be based on HTML5 (moving away from Flash). We hope to start rolling out Scratch 3.0 sometime during 2017.
The Google collaboration will help us in developing the technical infrastructure for Scratch 3.0, drawing on Google’s strong engineering expertise. To start, we are working with Google on a new version of our programming blocks, which we’re calling Scratch Blocks. This new version will support both vertical-snapping blocks with text labels (as in the current version of Scratch) and also horizontal-snapping blocks with icons (as in ScratchJr). With this flexibility, Scratch Blocks will be suitable for a broad range of people (from beginners to experienced programmers) and a broad range of devices (from mobile phones to desktops).
A big reason why folks at Google are interested in collaborating with Scratch is that they like the friendly, intuitive design of the Scratch programming blocks and interface – and they are interested in making the Scratch design available to more people. Everything that comes out of the Scratch-Google collaboration will be made available, via open source, to other developers. So you might start seeing other products with programming blocks that look a lot like Scratch.
In everything we do, our top priority is always the Scratch community. We believe that our collaboration with Google puts us in a strong position to carry out our most important mission: to provide a free, friendly, and creative space where you, as members of the Scratch community, can imagine, program, and share!
Whoa. Scratch 3.0

I'd really like that and to keep the GPIO pin brodcasts, but I'm pretty sure the Raspberry Pi Foundation will release another version of Jessie to update Scratch.mobile devices and all modern browsers, and it will be based on HTML5 (moving away from Flash). We hope to start rolling out Scratch 3.0 sometime during 2017.Yay! Will there be Beta testers, like in 2.0? ..will be designed to run well on
Techno
Also, I believe this means Scratch 3 for the RPi 0,1,2 and 3!
Give me an internet!
Suggest this project to be featured!
I'm running:
- (2.7GHz 4core) Windows 7 Professional, Flash 30.0 (release 0)
- (1.3GHz 4core) Windows 10 Professional, Flash 30.0 (release 0)

Compatibility issues?
Will the coming of scratch 3.0 and the switch to HTML5 Make 2.0 and 1.0 projects incompatible therefore making everything that I make now/before 3.0 projects worthless?
If not, how hard is it to convert EVERYTHING from flash to HTML5?
If so, then……. should I wait?
Thanks For Your answers, J Bless,
