Market an older age audience on Scratch?
So are you saying that if not absolutely everyone likes something, it shouldn't happen? (“happen” means being promoted in this case)Which is one of the reasons why Scratch shouldn't be promoting anything…Not everyone likes X brand…It would be great if Scratch promoted Pokémon. Not everyone likes Pokémon…
The message is that even if you like something doesn't mean everybody else is always going to like it either.
There has been repeated Pokemon Go reports on the news. There's even one going on right now. You know that's saying something?

I would like to see Sonic the Hedgehog here.
That's because you're in the fandom.
(no, i'm not trying to start up an argument, just stating a fact)
It's the same reason why I wanted Doctor Who. But it isn't specifically for all ages. In my opinion it is, but not everybody can agree on that.

yayI like TAWOG tooSupport, maybe a show that's around…10+? Something pg.???ayyyyyyyyDo you have any ideas of more “age fit” TV shows/Games/Books/Movies to market on here? I think that it has to have a good fandom so a child that would want to look up art for it or subjects related to it won't get any bad or inappropriate results. The Amazing World of Gumball. It's a cartoon network show that people of all ages watch. And it is appropriate for Scratch.

And Pokémon Go isn't the only Pokémon thing, is it? There's the anime, the collectible cards, the video games…

Not everyone likes meeting strangers on the street who could do anything to them.
Not everyone likes Homestuck

You know what? I really don't care about your fandom. The only reason for right now if Pokemon was marketed on this website would be for Pokemon Go. It's the new trend.
I'm not going to say anything about Doctor Who, because the majority here say it's not for all ages. I disagree, but it's okay. I'm not going to bring another argument in this forum post about fandoms, and you are not going to either.

Market an older age audience on Scratch?
I was a little bit disgruntled when I saw that Scratch was promoting some and not others (especially since it's geared towards the younger audience) and Scratch is for all ages. I think it was done because even though Scratch is for all ages, most of the people on this site are on the younger side of the spectrum. I still was not happy, though: First of all, not everyone watches this shows. Don't go firing at me, because I know that most people watch TV, but some don't very much and a few, like me, don't really at all. I think that Scratch should be promoting their little characters (in my opinion, the Scratch Cat overshadows the others too much) and they should have their own little story just for being the mascots of Scratch.

That's true, and it's a better idea. We don't know anything about the other mascots. I think this is better than talking about which fandom should be promoted on here.
Besides, the only reason why I watch TV anymore is because of Doctor Who. (do not yell at me for that statement.)

I respect your opinion, but no support as Scratch doesn't promote fandoms.

I'm sorry, but imo, I don't care about this. I guess I was annoyed a little with tPPG but I only barely thought of doing gumball.
I care even less because I don't have cable

I can see what you're saying. I think it's better not marketing anything at all and do something Scratch mascot related.

Anyways, we shouldn't have fandoms marketed on Scratch. The only reason why CN is here is because CN wanted to be here.

Because they were sponsored by Cartoon Network. (CN gave the ST/MIT money, and the ST promoted their shows for a little bit.)No Support.
Scratch shouldn't be promoting any tv shows or fandoms.
Then why are they promoting things like Powerpuff Girls and We Bare Bears?
I wish Scratch was like the 1.4 days, when there were no Scratch partnerships and Powerpuff Girls invading Scratch.I've barely seen any Powerpuff Girls projects aside from the SDS they had. Warrior Cats invaded Scratch, not Powerpuff Girls.
So semi-support.

Me too. I had Scratch 1.4 ever since I was 7 and only made an account just recently. The games were entertaining, and there were no promotional deals whatsoever.
