Hi guys. I made this topic so new scratchers can get expirience help and maybey even become famous.

First, start by spelling “maybe” right, it's a great first step in my opinion.
Second, Make good projects like my pong game.
Third, Have friends in high places like I do

That's probably not the best advice. “Make good projects like my pong game.” xD

Anyway, it's a little bit more complicated than that. Just keep sharing projects and you'll start getting people who share the same interests and enjoy your projects. Eventually, you should gain a good group of followers

Be active. Say a lot on the forums. Make lots of projects. See lots of projects. Comment on lots of projects.

But remember, becoming famous doesn't happen overnight, it takes a lot of patience, determination, and a good sense of logic, if you know what I mean

It would be best to not try to be popular.

Scratch isn't a social networking site you know.

DotDash is right, your aim shouldn't be famous but instead to develop good looking, quality projects for those few who view your projects. And being famous isn't always really a good thing:

Always logging on to 180 messages, may sound awesome, but going through all the comments can be a hassle (that's only if your a good person lol)
People always making direct copies of the game and you receive no credit (this can happen when a user is not famous, but being famous rises those chances tremendously)

But don't completely take your mind off being famous, if you do want to become a programmer in future life, then always ask you players how can I improve, because those are your future market

I'm just pointing out that it doesn't happen overnight, and I think the real thing is that they don't want to be famous, but get people to look at the projects that they worked so hard on.

Sammy's right, and so are DotDash and WASD.

But I, personally, don't try to get fame. Even so, I have a pretty good amount of followers. I just work hard on projects, comment a lot, and am active on the forums.

I'm not sure how to get famous either, but here's a thing i think would be useful project-wise; simple projects that looks good with a cool consept that works and is fun. It may not be a good advice to get really famous in the community, but i think its one step in right direction overall. In the community, i think that being active could be a great advice! Again, not really sure…

I'm not famous, but i once experienced one of my projects took off when i least expected it. Dont try to be famous, but dont wait for it either. Just focus on making fun games that works.

Make good projects, put an ad on show and tell. And never spam on other's projects!

i think you should make good projects to be popular.instead of using

when [spacebar v] key pressed
change y by (10)
change y by (-10)

when [d v] key pressed
move (10) steps


when [a v] key pressed
move (-10) steps

use velocity script.

simply, use good scripts and your project will get loved more often. then, ppl will probably check you profile if you have good other projects, and if yes, they will follow!
