We’re excited to reveal an improved version of Search on Scratch. This new system does a better job of finding results that are relevant to you - based on the language you speak, and the terms that you are searching for. There are a few ways that we are using this new Search infrastructure:

Search bar: Your searches are now using our new algorithm. You don’t even have to specify whether you’re looking for projects, users, or tags - you can do it all through the search bar! Type in a keyword to the search bar, and your results will show up on the explore page.

Explore page: In order to make sure new projects are seen by the community, we have tweaked the search to show projects made more recently. We also use statistics based on remixes, favorites, and views, to help curate an interesting set of projects to be displayed. The page will also automatically show more projects created in the language you set Scratch to display.

Backpack feature in the forums
You may notice an “Add to Backpack” button next to scratchblocks scripts on the forum - clicking this will add that script to your backpack so you can use it in any of your projects!

Id prefer the original search engine. And I feel that the new projects tab on the front page should be next to the “What's Happening” tab.
